I love Swimming and have always been ashamed of the way I look as I am overweight and very self conscious. So no matter how much I love Swimming I always hate getting dressed to go to the pool as I am afraid everyone will be looking at me and mocking me for the way I look.

Plus I feel like I will embarrass both Charlie and David by the way I look. Not that either of them have ever said anything but it is how I feel. So with Summer here again I have been working hard to lose all the unwanted weight I am carrying around. Which does not seem to be happening. But at least this time I am trying.

So to motivate myself even more I applied for this review as I loved the Swimsuit and I knew once I could fit into it it would make me feel "SEXY" which I have never felt like. So as soon as it arrived I took a picture of it and hung it on my dream board as I plan of fitting into it before the end of Summer. Can I do it?? I am not sure but what I can tell you is I am going to do my best to make it.

Once my sister came over and saw it she asked where I got it at as she loved it and would like one for herself being the Skinny person she is she would look great in it. Now I could have been nice and let her have mine but I didn't as I tell you one day I will be able to wear it.

The next thing I did was send a picture to both my step daughter and niece and asked them what they thought of it and they loved it. They both asked if they could have it and once again I said no. But they both asked me if I knew who it reminded them of and I said yes, I Love Lucy. I then asked then if I was right and they said yes, I was.

I showed the suit to David and Charlie and they both said I will be beautiful in it. Although Charlie says I will need a shirt as he does not want his mom running around half naked. And in this suit that is how I will feel. As I have never worn anything like this before.

I love the material as it is so soft. The color of blue pops and I love the white dots as it reminds me of my mother as she loved polka dots. This suit reminds me of the Glammer girls from the 20's which I wish I could be. But even though I can't in this suit anyone would fill like one.

If you have not checked out Esfeel you should as they have suits for everybody style and for both young and old ladies. Which I am not calling you old. I am saying I am as I will be over 50 this year. Yikes, where did the time go??

Weight Loss is going to be the Death of me!!

My mother and law surprised me last month when she wanted to visit NRH Center in North Richland Hills as they have a inside pool. But she is needing to walk her doctor says and she can not do it outside. So Charlie, David, Sherry and I all piled into her Tahoo and headed to NRH Center. Now I thought we was just getting information. But once inside we looked around and she asked for a application.

As soon as I saw the cost I knew I could not afford it. But that did not stop Sherry as she filled the application out and added David, Charlie and I as well as my niece and her husband and Granny to the application and then off she went to pay.

So for a little over a month we have been walking in the pool. As well as Charlie and I walking up stairs on the track and on the weights. Even when Sherry did not go with us we have been going and I can tell you most days I am worn out. But I have pushed on and I am not giving up.

Even if on the 10th David and Sherry do not redo the membership I am going to continue walking outside as I have lost 25 pounds and David has lost 20. Plus it is getting Charlie more active which is awesome.

So today Sherry and I did a mile in the pool. Then I came home and Charlie and I walked around the neighborhood and I hit almost 3800 steps. My goal is 10,000 a day but I would like to up it to 15000. So as of 4:15 I am at 8562 and I am not sure if I will make the 10000 today as I have joined a challenge and have to do there exercises as well.

Which I missed yesterday and I should have done 100 squats so I have done 75 of them today. Then today's is 100 crunches and I have 75 of them done. I am not sure if I will get the last 25 of either done but what I can tell you is I am going to try.

As my goal before Charlie returns to school is to lose as close to 50 pounds as possible. As I started at 225 and I am right at 200. My wish is to get to 130 but even if I only make it to 150 I will be so much happier and healthier that I will not fuss.

As I will be able to ride that Bike I can not ride now. As well as play Soccer with Charlie as this is what he would like for me to do. Plus I might be able to do a 5 mile walk which is what I would like to see us do as a family.

Bahama Beach Waterpark makes a lazy Sunday "Family FUN!!

David and I have always tried to keep Sunday's for "Family time" not that we are always able to. But this week we did and we had some fun surprising Charlie!! Because the rest of the week David works nights and is not able to spend a lot of time with us. Plus Saturdays are our errand day or my work day. So Sunday is the only day we have together to have fun!!

So this Sunday I surprised AJ and Charlie with tickets to Bahama Beach Water Park in Dallas, Texas.

So before I begin my review I would like to let you know I was given 4 complimentary passed to the park by Richard Sharnsky Jr. Manager 11 Aquatic Services Dallas Park and Recreation Park. The passes was given to my family for free. But the thoughts in the review are all my families and no one else.

So this morning I got up and went with my Mother n Law to work out at the pool we usually go to during the week. While David got things ready for us to head to Bahama Beach Water Park. I left Charlie and AJ asleep and David was going to get them up and have them take a bath and eat breakfast. So once I returned we could leave.

So as soon as I returned home Charlie and AJ meet me at the door asking what we was going to do today. As David told them we had a surprise for them. But we could not tell them until we got there. So Charlie tells AJ we are going to the Pool my mom works out at. David and I just kinda snickered and walked away so they would not suspect anything.

So we all grab things to load in the car. Then AJ runs home to let his parents know we are leaving. Which I am so happy Charlie was able to bring AJ as his parents do not have the money to do things with there kids. So this was a nice outing for AJ.

Once on the road we found some old Rock and Roll and just sang along with the Radio as Charlie and AJ tried to guess where we was going. Once we hit the freeway and Charlie saw we was going away from the Pool he was completely stumped.

So David keeps driving as the Pool is about 45 minutes from us. I thought the boys might get tired of riding and start to fuss but they did not. As they played some games in the car and just chatted with each other. Which I enjoyed as they was making up stories about where we might be going.

Once we got close to the Pool David and I had them close there eyes. As soon as we pulled into the Parking Lot I asked them to open there eyes and all I heard was "man on man" that "looks so cool" and "I wish we could go inside". So David drove up to the front and asked us to get out. Which we did and I went and got into the line. It was pretty long which I thought would drive the boys up the wall but it didn't.

Once we got the tickets we went to get into the line to get in as I did not realize Richard had emailed me to pick the tickets up at the gate. So I had David walk up front since we did not have a cooler and ask if we had to wait in the line. Richard was at the gate and let us right in. I was so surprised to find out they had set a covered table aside for us. It was nice as it was big enough for us to share with some other people that came in. But when we go back I will make sure and reserve a table as we can host a guest join us as there is enough room for over 20 people.

Once we got everything on the table I asked David to put Sunscreen on Charlie before we went to the pools as he is so white and I knew he would end up Sunburned. Once David finished with Charlie I used it. I even sprayed Davids bald head which he was not to happy about. But we have to protect the ones we love!!

So then it was off to have some fun. Charlie and David headed straight for Calypso Cooler- Lazy River which I loved as it makes losing weight fast and easy. As I can walk inside there and it does not hurt my ankle or knee. Charlie and AJ loved it as they could use Innertubs inside it. Once we could pull the boys out of here we went over to the little kids area as it had so much to do that I knew they would find something in there they would like. Plus Charlie is still small enough to get inside there. So they played on the slides which both of them said they loved a lot. The next place the boys wanted to check out was the Bermuda-Triangle but Charlie was a tad to short. So AJ was able to do it by himself. Which upset Charlie but I was able to appease him when I told him we could wait a week or two and then go back out as by then he just might be tall enough to ride it as Charlie is growing like a weed,

The next section AJ and Charlie wanted to check out was the Riptide-SlideBahama_Bullet and let me tell you the line was pretty long but it did not take them long for there turn to come and them be able to ride the Slides. Once I saw the Tortuga-Express slide I feel in love and wanted to check it out. But the way my knee is I did not try and climb the stairs. But I wish I had. I am so surprised David did not try it out. But he has been having trouble with his Heart so we let the boys go on there own and they loved it. Once at the top and it became there turn they flew right down to the bottom and before I could ask them if they liked the slide they was headed back up to the top of it. So I knew they loved it and it was a hit as well. While Charlie and AJ was on the Tortuga-Express David and I checked out the Water Wars and if it had been working I would have made David do it with me as it looked like so much fun. Plus it would have been fun to do with Charlie and AJ. So once we return I hope it is working as I plan on taking the men DOWN!! Once David and I was able to walk around the park we found some grills and they was grilling Hamburgers and Hot dogs. Which smelled so good. The next time we go I am going to order me at least one Hamburger. As for David and Charlie they can also order some or they can check out the restaurant or bring there own lunch that is up to them. But I know I am getting me a Hamburger and I am not sharing it with anyone!!

So if you take the time to visit Bahama Beach Water Park check out the Gift Shop and the First Aid Station so if someone if your party is hurt you will know where to go. Because I checked them both out and found them to be well stocked.

So all in all today was a successful visit and next year I may invest in Water Park passes for us so we can visit anytime we want to. Plus I noticed the host Birthday Parties there and I just might have Davids there next month as both him and Charlie would enjoy it a lot.

Charlie and I are on the Road Again!!

June 14th review Denton Natatorium and Water Works Park

David and I have always tried to make Sunday a "FAMILY Day"!! Where Charlie is able to do the things he would like to do. As well as have his favorite foods. But the past year has been hard and we had gotten away from that. So with "SUMMER" here I am trying to get back into that habit.

So on Friday we asked Charlie if he would like to go swimming and since this is his favorite thing to do in the world we knew he would say yes. But what he did not know was that we was going to attend Denton Water Works Park which I had taken Charlie to last year. Along with his friend Dylan.

So this year David and I decided to surprise Charlie and allow him to ask his friend Adain as I knew he had never been to a water park before. Plus knowing his mom Tammy I knew she would be so happy for us to take Aiden.

So this morning when we got up we checked the Weather and it said it might storm and when I mentioned this to Charlie he said no it is not. Because I have to pick up Aiden and we get to spend the day together. Which was nice because with school out Charlie has not had anyone to play with.

So we packed our lunches into the Coolers and took off for Denton Water Park. I figured I would hear are we there yet. Or move over your touching me. Or I need to go to the restroom. But instead all I heard was Charlie explaining Denton Water Park to Aiden and what all they would be able to do once they arrived.

So we get there and we are about 15 minutes early and I can tell you it was not only the longest 15 minutes ever for Charlie and Aiden but also for me.As I was wanting to get inside and into the pool as I had not walked this morning and I needed to.

So we go up and let them know who we are and a very nice lady escorted us to our Cabana. Once there she showed us how the Curtains work and let us know we could close it. Plus if we needed more ice to just let them know. Which I had not been told last year. Another nice touch was the 4 bottles of water we received.

So Aiden and Charlie immediatly ask to go into the children's play area. Where they played and played. There favorite part was shooting the sprayers as they said it reminded them of a Gun. Plus they loved the slide.

Once they finished we went to the Lazy River and walked in it. I loved how the water felt. Both Charlie and Aiden loved being able to use Tubes in it. I can not wait to try one out next time. But this time David and I walked. I just wish I knew how many laps around it would make a mile. As this one is 3 times bigger than the one we usually walk in.

Once we finished here Charlie and Aiden wanted to go down the slides. So David and I took them over to them. They both grabbed a Tube and headed up the stairs to slide. I was amazed when I saw David follow then and say he was going to slide with them. As he had just gotten out of the hospital but he said he could not resist spending time with Charlie and playing with him and Aiden.

Once done here we ended up going inside and the boys tried out that slide which they loved. But more than that they loved the pool and seeing the Basketball Net. But they did not play as they just wanted to swim and splash. But they both said the next time we are there they want to play basketball. As well as try out the Diving Board as Charlie loves to Dive. But before we allow Aiden to he will need swim lessons which I saw they offer. So I will be sharing this information with Tammy so she can bring Aiden if she wishes.

Once we was leaving I saw they host Birthday Parties and since Charlies is in December and it is hard to host parties outside this would make a perfect place for us to host his Birthday. So if you are thinking of hosting a party of any kind and would like a new and unusual place you should check them out.

All in all today was a huge success and I am hopping David's hours pick up and we can visit again before the end of the Summer since we all had so much fun. But if that does not happen for what ever reason I know they offer Season passes and I plan on purchasing one for Charlie for next year as one of his Birthday Presents!!

Denton Natatorium and Water Works Park

Charlie, David and I are Blessed again this year to be able to visit Denton Natatoruim and Water Parks. As well as take a friend Aidan with us. Aidan has never been able to visit a Water Park and is so excited he can not sit still.

As for Charlie we have been visiting water parks since he was a baby. But if I can say this
Denton Water Works is our favorite place to visit as they can play outside and if they get to hot we can go inside as there is a inside pool and slide as well.

Now I live in Haltom City so it is a little bit of a drive to get there but it is OK as we can bring our lunches and stay all day which I like. Because besides the Water Park is a Skate Park which Charlie also likes to play at. Plus as we drive into Denton I am able to see new businesses I want to go back and visit.

So this allows all of my family and friends something to do and we do not hear I am bored or I want to go home. All I hear is "aww mom" is it time to leave. Just 5 more minutes. Or can we come back tomorrow. So I know it has been a huge hit. I hope one day to be able to purchase Season Passes for us but until that time we will have tomorrow to remember.

And Charlie will have something to work toward and save his money for because if he really wants to come back he needs to work for the money. Which I like as this teaches him responsibility and he learns that not everything is handed to him on a Silver Platter!!

So be watching tomorrow for our adventures at Denton Water Works and what all the boys get into. Also be watching to see what we can get David to do while in the park. Plus you might even see me in the pool. But do not tell anyone as I hate having my pictures taken as I am as big as a "whale" but I am working to change that. So next year if we are able to come back you will see a new and better me!!!!
