SCARY SCARY day at the Swimming Pool!!!

After we went Bowling and to Pancho's for lunch we came back to the apartment so my sister could go home and rest for work.
So I decided since I was bored and there is a pool at the end of our street and it only cost a $1 to get in that we would take Charlie swimming as I had not been able to go with him this week.
We walk in and I have Charlie stand in the shallow end while I go and put our things down as David is right behind me.
Well Charlie loses his footing and is bobbing in the water and the life guard does nothing to help him.
Luckily David jumps in and grabs him.
I can tell you he was spitting fire when he got Charlie out of the water.
It took me 20 minutes to convince Charlie to come back in with me.
Once he did he would not leave his dads arms.
I am telling you this place needs better life guards and I am not sure we will be going back because the whole time we where there I watched the life guard as there was only 1 and she was not watching the pool at all.
If I knew how to call I would report her because if this happened to my child it could happen to yours as well.
All I can say right now is Thank God for David as he saved Charlie.
Please never think your child will be safe on the stairs of a pool always take them with you as this is what I am going to do from now on.
I actually feel safer when we take him to a water park as the life guards there are more alert than in a small neighborhood pool.
