It has gotten so bad in Texas with David and no job.

That yesterday his boss that he is working for temporarily is taking a piece of equipment to Florida. He thought of going with them as it was paying well. It would have taken him a day and a half to get there and the same to get back but it paid really good. The only reason he did not take it is it is Charlies birthday on Friday and his part is on Sunday and he would miss it so he turned it down. If they go again though he will go.

He is even thinking of moving out of State to work and letting Charlie and I stay here since he goes to school. He would visit once or twice a month until we could get back on our feet. I know this would be hard on Charlie but to be able to live we may have to do this.

One of the places he is thinking of going to work is in Canada as they have a job over there likes. I I hate this as I am not sure how much it would cost for him to come back home. Plus if we ended up moving there I am sure the expenses would be horrible. So this week I need to start to look into not only moving companies but how do I find international movers?  With this  we both have to sit down and talk to our families and let them know we may be doing this as with David being  unemployed and not being able to find a job we are in jeopardy of losing everything we have.

One of the things I am scared of is all the ice and snow and storms I hear happens over there. Plus how different is it from her? I see other bloggers from Canada try to find companies to work with and it seems hard to find. So this also scares me as I have worked really hard to get where I am.

So once again I am turning to God and asking him to let us know what is right for our family. If it is moving to another State then I want it to be one he wishes for us to go too. I also do not want to be here when David is in another State as we are a family and I want us to remain one.

Now for those of you who live in Canada is Toronto the best place to live or where should I check into and what movers should I check with?  Would  Toronto movers be able to help us move there?

Have you ever been called your sons GRANDMA???

I am all the time and it bites. I know I am in my late forties but I did not think I looked that old. But last night when we where checking out at Wal Marts a gentleman told Charlie to make sure he minds his grandma. I thought David was going to die laughing. My question is what would you have said if this happened to you? What would you say to your husband as he stands there laughing? No one ever refers to him as Charlies grandad which is so unfair.

So this year I am making a few New Years resolutions and one of them is to lose all the unwanted weight I am caring around. The second is to find some products to help my hands look younger. I do not have AGE SPOTS yet but before I do I would like to find something and start to use it to stop them from appearing.

Another thing I am going to invest in is a line of Skin Care Products to start to take better care of my face. As it is I do not use make up at all but I also do not clean it the way I should. So now is as good a time as any to start to do this. Plus I am going to be able to show my step daughters and nieces what I do and since there 17 now they can see how important it is to take care of there skin.

I have never had a problem with ACNE but there are starting to and so this is something else I need to research. This way I can make sure they have the best Acne Products for them. I just need to make sure they each know that everyones skin is different and so what is right for one may not be right for the other one. Then I will help them pick out Skin Care Products for Age Spots and make up for Christmas since none of the girls moms wants to as soon they will be getting ready for the Prom and they will want all of this.

So at least with these three I pretty much know what I am getting them for Christmas. Now if I could just figure out everyone else and if money would appear it would help. With David being off it is hard to shop for all the people I need to and get them the items I would like to. So I have been looking for as many sales as possible this year.

It seems I may have a part time job after Christmas.

Not one that I wanted as my plan is to stay a stay at home mom and build my blog. But it seems God may have other plans for me. The apartments I am living in owns three complexes and they are in need of a office in a Central location and they will need it set up. Since I set my dads up back in high school and I know how to use the computer better than the office manager they have they asked if I would help her set the office up. Then work with her one or two days a week to help her learn the computers. The nice thing about this is it is going to give us a discount on our rent and it would be when Charlie is in school.

So the first thing I have to help her do is find a office space and this has been fun as I am getting out of the apartment more. Plus I am meeting people. We also have been shopping for it which I enjoy.

The other things we have been doing is calling and getting prices on people to help us with the Removals of the office equipment we will be taking as we are combining three offices. So until I started to help I had never even heard of  Removal Companies which I think are International Movers but I can tell you it is going to make our work so much easier and faster. I am so excited.

Once this is all done I may have a new career in office moving and setting up as I am getting to know quite a few of the Removalists so if I can find businesses to work with me I may start this.

Santa I am going to let you know I would like to update my Christmas List.

If it is not to late. I would like some items for my kitchen. I need a new mixer and a coffee pot I would Love a Keuring as well as a juicer. I am hopping if I get a juicer I can make some drinks that Charlie would try. As this child is the pickiest child I have ever seen. He will not eat Fruit at all but will drink smoothies and so if I had a machine I could make him one each day before we head out to school. Plus David could make him one before he leaves for work. This would cut out the cost of the ones we buy when we are in the mall. Plus I could add some vitamins to it for Charlie and he would not even know he was getting them. But this might help cut back on his being Anemic which I hate to hear. Plus if I let him help me make them then he might decide to try the fruit we add to it.

Another item I would like is a Air Purifier as we live in a tiny apartment with two dogs and now Charlie is starting to get allergies and I think this might combat some of that.  So today I went and I searched and this is the air purifier choice of mine is a Therapure 240. It is one that I think I can actually fit into my budget as I never knew they where as expensive as they are. If you have one can you tell me which one and how well it works for you family Please.

So you see Santa this is items that I would like but are not for me but for my family. So if you still have room in your sleigh would you Please bring me one or the other. I know I have not been perfect but I have been the best I know how to be and I will do my best to be better next year.

What do you get the man you Love for Christmas?

I have been shopping for days for a gift for him and I can not think of anything for him. If he wants it he usually goes and buys it for hisself once he knows all the bills have been paid and we have some extra money. Plus how serious do you take the man you Love? He is losing his hair big time and he keeps telling Charlie and I he needs a hair plug and I see all types of products on line to help him grow his hair back. If I bought him some of them to go into his stocking do you think it would hurt his feelings? Or do you think he is serious about wanting to try some out? I could just tell him they are vitamins I guess and switch the bottle on him but I do not want to lie to him. I wonder if I took some it would make him know it is OK for him to take them as well? I know for me personally my hair is thinning and it is turning grey and if it would help me to not lose it so fast I would be willing to try it. Plus if it would help me look younger I would be willing to give it a shot. As I am so tired of people calling me Charlies grandma as I am in my upper 40's and he is only 4 this week. It embarrasses me and makes me feel horrible when this happens and so I think I will ask Santa for some of these types of products and also some hair dye and why I am at it some pills to help me lose all the unwanted weight I am caring around. So hello New Year hello new me. Also hopefully a new dad for Charlie as well.

Well I did it I went and got David some of these products for his stocking. He may hate me but I am tired of him putting himself done over the way he looks. So I check first the provillus review then bought it and I really hope he likes it and so as not to hurt his feelings I am going to buy myself some weight loss products and add them to my stocking as this way he can see I am also trying to change the way I look.

Here it is the middle of Dec. and I need some snow. Do you happen to have any where you live that you would be willing to send my way? Please I would Love for my son to have a white Christmas this year. I just do not want all of the sleet that goes with it.  Here today it is in the 50's and rising too cold for us to go outside and play but that does not matter to Charlie he keeps trying to escape out the door. Yesterday in the 40's we where outside playing soccer as he was driving me up the wall.

Now that we are in a apartment it is so hard as we are upstairs and he gets so bored he wants to run around and he can not and being a boy he wants to jump everywhere which he can not do.

So this has got me to thinking about the summer and what we will do this summer on the days when it is over 100 and we are not allowed to water. You see there is no pool here for him. As well as no toys and so today when I was sitting here I started to think of the rain and I was wondering if I could bottle it and save it to fill him a pool with this summer if I go and get him a small plastic pool and if the manager would let us have it.

So today I am going to make it a point to catch Donna and have her ask the owner as we would not be using any of his water if I got several  rain water barrels  and saved the rain. Which it is good to wash your hair in and they could also use it to water the plants which would cut down on another bill.

So I went and I found some rain barrels that do not even look like one and we can set plants on it and it would be really pretty sitting outside and so I hope he will say it is OK. As I am not even going to ask him to buy them I plan on purchasing them myselves and if we do move I will even leave theme here for other children.

 So what do you think of this ideal and me getting him some rain barrels as I saw today that the rain barrels for sale?  Plus I am thinking I might even purchase some extra Rain Barrels and sale them.

Indoor Warmth without the Heater

During the cold winter it can be tough to stay warm, well, to stay warm without keeping the heater on 24/7 and raising your gas and electric bill, anyway. It’s something everyone does without even thinking about. You walk around your house and think, “Oh, it’s chilly today,” and then proceed to set the heater to a comfortable seventy something degrees. Unfortunately, you’ll probably keep your thermostat at that temperature and your heater will end up going off several times a day without even realizing until you get your monthly bill and are surprised by the amount you owe. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to keep you warmer without having to fork out money to keep the heater constantly running.

Dress in Layers
You wear warm clothes when you’re outside the house, so why not wear some of it inside? You don’t need to wear your thick parka indoors but simply layers will really help keep you warm. That old sweater that you never wear out because it has a stain is perfect for lounging around the house. Socks are great for keeping your toes warm, as your feet are one of the first parts of the body to feel cold. If you don’t like to feel confined by socks, try some slippers instead. There are several kinds to choose from though you’ll want some that are well insulated and comfortable; for example, you can get a great pair of suede moccasins for cheap using coupons for Eddie Bauer. You may also want to consider wearing thick pajama bottoms made from fleece or flannel and even a knit hat.

Wrap Yourself Up
Not in the mood to wear a lot of layers? Perhaps blankets are more your route then. Blankets come in all shapes, sizes and colors so you can pick which one best fits your needs. Choose a small one in your favorite color if you don’t feel like sharing or get a larger one and snuggle up close to your sweetheart. The best part about having a blanket is that you can throw it over the couch or chair as decoration when you don’t need it.

Build a Fire
If you have a fireplace you should definitely get a few logs and put it to use. Logs are pretty cheap and depending on the type, can last for several hours. Having a fire can also set a nice mood to lie on the floor and read a book or roast a couple of marshmallows with friends just for fun. If you have one of the new types of fireplaces that run on gas, it’s best not to turn it on as it can waste more energy and money than the heater!

Start from the Inside
Make something warm to eat or drink! Nothing tastes better than a hot bowl of soup on a cold, rainy day. Well, chili, baked potatoes, hot chocolate and apple cider are also close contenders but that’s beside the point. Not only will you be eating or drinking something warm to take the chills away, but using your oven to make it will actually heat up your home in the process! Sites such as Recipes.Kaboose.com actually have lists of recipes specifically for cold days, so get in the kitchen and start warming up!

A Momengt With Kelly-Marie Life As A Working Mum

Hey I'm Kelly-Marie from 'Our Footprints On The World' and yes I am a working mum. My son Josh has just turned 6 months old and I returned to work just several weeks ago, I'm doing less hours now as Matt {hubby} needs to work as well. I work in a small village Post Office which might be closed down at the beginning of next year and for my Husband he has finally found a job after searching for ages but the thing is that it's only temporary with a chance of it becoming permanent if he is hard working and flexible which is why I keep swapping my hours so that he can be flexible and *fingers crossed* have it turn into a permanent job.

Although I love where I work, it is really hard as Matt doesn't have fixed hours so at the moment we are all over the place not knowing what days we're working but once my mum comes back off their holiday it will be a little easier as they can have Josh on a Friday for us and then the only other day I work is a Monday which Matt will have to say he can't work but this should be fine as he has all the other 6 days of the week to work for them. We are really lucky that we have my parents to help us a little, Matt's family unfortunately live a five hour drive from us so we can't ask them to take him.

The other option we have had a look at is having Josh in a nursery but now-a-days it is so expensive, for one day at nursery it is £36 which means by time you've worked that day that money goes straight on the child care and where is the point of working it then ?! Plus I would worry about him so much while he was there .. Where we live there was a terrible thing that went on in a nursery concerning lot's of little ones and some VERY inapropriate pictures being taken, so as you will understand many people are now very skeptical about leaving thier children/babies anywhere.



So with the economy the way it is, we make our way though it, working as hard as we can to keep food on the table. I think I get the best of both worlds really I get my time out the house doing something different but not too much time away to miss Joshy growing up ;)

I love my husband a lot, but I don’t understand why he has resisted changing over to satellite TV for so long. I really think it’s because he knows I want to, and he doesn’t want to admit that I’m right about something. Satellite definitely has better sports programming and better deals. I’ve been trying to convince him to let us make the switch at our house. Yesterday I went to www.cleartvbundle.com and called him over to sit down next to me at the computer and see for himself. I explained that I didn’t understand why he wouldn’t want to make our lives easier by getting a bundle that was definitely better quality and cheaper than the package we have. All I wanted to do was get our phone, satellite TV, and Internet all together so that we didn’t have to pay three bills every month when we could just be making one, lower payment. He resisted for a while but then finally admitted that I made sense. Sometimes I think he just argues with me for fun. I guess I can get used to it as long as he lets me win in the end!

How many of you feel like I do?

I am already tired and stressed put from all of the Holiday running around. I wish I could just jump on a plane and run away. I have been searching travel sites for deals for places with sunny beaches. Only I know I could never run away as it would not be fair to my son who is looking forward to Christmas. Plus with David not working a steady job right now there is no money to travel anywhere. If there was I would like to visit Hawaii or Australia with just David and I as I am not sure Charlie would enjoy either of these spots. Plus David and I never had a honeymoon or have even been able to take a trip together and so I think it is time. I keep saying when we retire but after losing my daughter I am not sure I want to wait. What is one of us does not make it? So I have been looking into travel sites that offer last minute flights as I think if I could budget my money then I might be able to make it. Have any of you been to either place and which one would you think we should visit?

As most Bloggers out there I have decided I need to move from blogger but not knowing much about it I can use some help with this. Since I am not sure Santa knows much about computers and web hosting I am asking all my bloggy friends. What is the best site to use and why? Is it better to buy my domain name or not? What is a shared site? If I have more than one blog can I put them all on the same account? Is this a good ideal or not?

Once I move will I lose my followers? Can I change my Facebook and Twitter accounts to reflect this? How will it affect my page rank? How about my Alexa ranking?

Does anyone know if there is a class or a blog that I can check out that would help me answer some of these questions?

New Web Hosting for my Mommies???

I am thinking of moving Mommies Point of View to a new website instead if Blogger and I may purchase the domain name as well. Only I am new to web hosting that I have been searching on the Internet and I found a site and it shows us the 10 best sites out there. My problem is I am new to all of this and most of the sites I have not heard of. So my question is which hosting site do you use? Do you like it? How expensive is it? Is it a shared site? Does it come with a domain name?

If I do move my web hosting can you tell me how this would affect my readers? Would I have to start over from scratch? How does this affect my twitter and facebook accounts?

Another question I have is how hard is it to move everything? Is it very hard? Would it be easier to just pay someone to do it for me? If so can you tell me what I would expect to pay?

If you can help me out with the above questions I would really appreciate it as I am so afraid I am going to do things the wrong way and I will have to rebuild from the ground up and I just do not want to have to do that.

Nesting 101: Cleaning the House before Your Newborn Arrives

Welcoming a new baby is a joyful process, but one that tends to require planning and organization as well. Thoroughly cleaning your house while you are pregnant might not be a very desirable chore, but doing so not only makes sure that your new bundle isn’t exposed to dangerous contagions that can harm his or her newborn immune system, but also can make those sleep-deprived and hectic first few postpartum weeks easier to handle. Here are a few tips to get your home baby ready.
Remove Allergens from Your Home
Your new baby’s fragile immune system can be quickly overwhelmed by everyday toxins and allergens in your home. If you own pets, dander can be a real problem for you baby to handle as well. Make sure to thoroughly vacuum all carpeted areas and dust all surfaces to remove as many allergens as possible. If you can, replace your curtains with blinds. Blinds are easier to keep clean while curtains tend to retain dust. You might also want to consider investing in a HEPA air filter for extra protection.
Get Your Carpets Cleaned
While your newborn won’t be crawling right away, you will want to set your baby on the floor for tummy time to strengthen his or her neck muscles. Carpets can contain a host of dust, allergens, and other toxins. Think about it. You walk on your carpets every day, tracking in whatever is outside on your feet. Do you really want your baby breathing that in? When you hire a carpet cleaning company, make sure they are using non-toxic chemicals and cleaning procedures to keep your baby safe from exposure to harsh substances. If you rent a carpet cleaning equipment, talk to the rental company about proper cleaning methods and the safer cleaning solutions to use.
Disinfect Surfaces
You will want to thoroughly clean all surfaces in your house, but especially those that your baby or things that your baby uses will meet. If you prepare your baby’s food in the kitchen, wipe down all surfaces to protect from cross contamination with bacteria. Make sure not to use harsh chemicals like bleach, as these can be toxic to newborns if accidentally ingested off a cleaned surface or if they are exposed to fumes. Instead, try special non-toxic cleaners or homemade cleaners using products like vinegar and baking soda that disinfect but are safe for contact with your baby.
Declutter and Organize
Getting rid of unused items and organizing what remains is important for a variety of reasons. First, babies require a lot of gear and it is easier to find a place for it all if you make room for it. Second, in those sleep-deprived first days home with your newborn, knowing where things are and not having any tripping hazards on the floor will alleviate your stress and keep you safe while pacing the floors with your baby.
Your new baby is sure to bring you a great deal of happiness. Before you welcome your new addition home, make sure your home is safe and sanitary. It will be one less thing to worry about so you can enjoy those first special days at home with your child without stress.
