Life can change in the Blink of a eye with a child. As Charlie choked last night.

Last night I was in my room watching TV when I decided to turn it off and come into the front room and check something on the computer. Which I am not sure why I decided to do this. But thank "GOD" that I did. As Charlie asked me for a hot dog and I fixed it for him. I told Charlie to take it and go into his tent and close the door so the dogs wouldn't bother him.

So  started to get busy and I hear Charlie start to walk towards me when all of a sudden I hear him making a awful sound I look up and there is a stricken look on his face and I can tell he was having trouble with the Hot Dog he was eating. Part of it had gotten stuck in his throat and Charlie was chocking.

I was so scared and almost froze in my seat. But thank "God" I didn't because if I had of I might have lost Charlie as he would have died. So even without thinking I jumped up and grabbed him and started to pound him on the back as I could not remember what else to do. Finally the Hot Dog started to come out out. Keep yourself away if you have skin tag. Make sure to cure skin tag with creams and products.

But he would not spit it out as he did not want to get it on the floor which I did not care about and I kept telling him to spit it out as it was coming up and once he started to do that he ended up getting all of it out of his throat and could breathe.

Once he was better all Charlie kept saying was "THANK YOU" mom for saving my life. Now I may or may not have done the right thing. Which is "OK" because at least Charlie is here today and he might not have been.

Will this happen again? It might. Would I do the same thing? I am not sure but what I can tell you is my entire family is going to take a CPR class and I am going to print out this print out I found online so we will know what to do if it does happen in the future.

Because even though my mother n law knows what to do and is around the corner there was no time to call her or even 911 as it would have taken precious minutes  I needed to help my son with. Once it was all over and I called David to let him know what happened he was so upset I was surprised he did not leave work to come home and check on Charlie. You can use that as breast firming product too.

Thank you,

KidzBop Christmas Wish List

Now it is not anywhere near Christmas so I refuse to listen to Christmas songs. But Charlie and David are different and will listen to them any time of the year. So when I received a email that had KidzBop Christmas Wish List CD in it I knew they would enjoy it. So emailed back and asked to review it. So once they approved me I  so excited.

Displaying 20150807_130633.jpg

So today I would like to talk to you about the CD the songs on it are fun. I liked finding songs on it I grew up with as well as a couple I did not know. Plus there was some David did not know. So once Christmas arrives we will have new songs to learn with Charlie.

David and Charlie did go into his room to listen to the CD but they kept hollering at me to come and listen so we ended up all sitting down and listening to it together which was nice. I liked how Charlie knew some of the songs and would sing and Dance for us.

Plus if I must confess I even got up and Danced some with Charlie. Plus when my sister came over she danced with us as well. The only one who wouldn't was David. But no one expected him to as he hates to dance.

Charlie said he would like to get KidzBop Christmas Wish List for Payton for Christmas and so my mother n law and Charlie will be checking out the website and ordering it soon. I would not be surprised if she doesn't purchase more of the CD"s for Charlie as well as she loves listening to him sing and dance.

Charlie loves his Music and is always asking for CD"s!!

So when I received a email from Kid Bop about there two newest CD's I knew I needed to email them and see if I could review them. When I was accepted I was so happy and surprised. I could not wait for them to arrive. I wanted to tell Charlie and David we was getting them but I also wanted to wait. So I waited.

Displaying 20150807_130647.jpg

Once they arrived I asked Charlie to open the package and when he did he said here is your CD"s it was so fun to say no they are not mine they are yours. Once he found this out he took them into his room and put them in my Stereo he uses. But we are getting him his own for Christmas as well as a CD player for when we are out and about.

So I asked him to come into the front room so David and I could hear the CD as well. Once we did we put it in David's computer to play. As Charlie and David went to sit on the couch and I read the back of the CD case to KidzBop 29 and I saw that number 14 was See You Again which is from the movie Fast & the Furious. Both Charlie and David loved loved loved finding that song on the CD as it is our favorite movie. Plus David is wanting it as his ringtone on his phone.

One it finished playing we started KidzBop 29 at the beginning and we had so much fun singing and dancing. There was songs I grew up with and songs we didn't know which was nice as we was able to learn about new music.

Both David and Charlie have asked if we can order more CD's. So since they did I know that these will make wonderful Christmas Gifts for our family.

If you have not heard of KidzBop 29 I hope you take the time to check them out as I am sure you and your friends and family would enjoy these just as much as Charlie and I did.

We Love Laces Shoelaces

Charlie has always liked to be different than the other children in the neighborhood. From coloring his hair with spray on Glitter Paint. To finding the most unique and different shoes on the Market. Which includes putting in funny and different colored shoe laces to make his shoes different. As a lot of time kids in his class has the same shoes. So if he has different colored laces it will make his shoes stand out more.

                                                                      #welovecolors

So when I was on Giveaway Services and they had a promotion for We Love Colors I knew it would be something Charlie would like and want to do. Plus if they sent in colors I liked I would not mind using them as well. As I have in the past when Charlie has asked me to.

Now before you ask no, David will not use them. He is all black or brown or white depending on what shoes he wears. Although when he is sleeping Charlie and I could put some colored laces in his work boots but he would be furious. So it is easier to just leave him alone and for Charlie and I to do it on our own.

Or to get his Aunt Debbie to wear Colored Laces with us as she would. As Charlie has her wrapped around his finger and what ever he wants she will usually do it for him. Because he will only be little once she says.

So today I would like to share with you We Love Colors. Please check out there website at: http://www.welovecolors.com/Shop/Laces.htm Once you do let me know what you think of the Laces. Was there any you would use and if so which ones?

They sent Charlie and I some Flourscent yellow ones that Charlie says will look nice in his Grey shoes. So once he gets up I will see if he wants to put them inside those shoes. As for the color it is different and not something I would chose for myself but I can see Charlie using it. Charlie says he likes it a lot. That it would be good for boys or girls. The length was perfect. They are well made and do not come apart.

                                                                      #welovecolors

The second pair we received was blue and green and I knew Charlie would claim them for himself as he loves those colors. The length is the right size for his shoes. They are not to wide for the wholes. They are easy for him to tie. They do not come apart and I like that the material they are made out of as it would last a long time.

The last pair we received was Red and Yellow. Which reminds Charlie of fire he says. As for me Firemen. Charlie says they will look nice in his grey shoes as well. I let him put them in his shoes and he did not have any trouble doing it. I asked him to try and tie his shoes with them and he did. They did not come untied which I liked a lot. They are not to wide to go inside his shoes which I also liked a lot.

Movie Tavern offers Retro Movies

I love Movies and have quite a few that are my favorite I could watch all day every day and never ever get tired of them. So when I found out Movie Tavern host "Retro Cinema". I knew it would be something I would like to take Charlie to. As I like introducing him to the movies I grew up on. As most of them he likes. Plus it allows me to share things his sister Suzzane enjoyed as she had seen most of these films with me.

Last month they showed Top Gun and I had waited for months for it to come to the Theater and when it did Charlie and I was not able to attend it. I was so devastated as this has been his favorite movie since he was about 2 1/2 as he loves the music just as much as I do.

Classic Films on the Big Screen!

So soon they will be showing Grease and it is not a film I will miss. As I love it and so did my daughter and Nephew. Plus Charlie does as well. He can sing all of the songs in it just as I can. So with this one being a Sing Along it will make it even more fun to see.

So I thought I would share the poster with you so you could see which Retro Films they will be showing and pick out a few to take your family to see. As it is such a great way to make memories with every member of your family.

Charlie and the death of a Bird he found

Yesterday Charlie wanted to spend the day with his grandmother and grandfather so he could play her Play Station 3. Plus he needed his Bike fixed. As well as the flowers watered and this is Charlies job. So I dropped him off and went to run some errands.

Once David and I went back to pick Charlie up. He said I have something to show you mom. He had found a baby bird outside on the sidewalk. So Charlie and his grandmother found a metal cage and fixed him a bed. Charlie named him Steve.

Once we left we went down to Walmart to get Steve something to drink water out of. But once we got back home Steve had passed away. So Charlie and David buried Steve. But Charlie was devastated. I felt so sad for him that I just did not know what to say.

So I wonder if this cause Charlie to stop helping animals he finds. As he is always bringing frogs inside so they do not get hurt. I hope it doesn't as he is so loving. Plus he gets so excited just helping them. it is so cute to see as he gets so excited showing me what he found.

But once I explained to him that God wanted Steve for something Charlie was OK and said he is with my sister and my Granny. They will take care of him. So I do not have to worry about him. Right momma? I was almost crying when I said yes, they will.

So just a few minutes ago Charlies grandmother called to check on Steve and she was as upset as Charlie was. As she was afraid this would happen and it would upset Charlie. So as we talked I let her know we could get him another Bird and she was like yes, we can.

So I bet you before I know it Charlie will be coming home with a Bird. Do I want one? No, but if it is something they do together I will not say anything. As he is creating memories with her. That he was not able to create with mine as she is gone.

I wonder if he does get a Bird what color he will chose and what will he name it? Because as a toddler he had a yellow Parakeet his grandmother brought him one day. That a lady at her work had and couldn't keep. Now mind you with this Bird I did not even know she was bringing it. So I was a little upset.

But if Charlie ends up with one know I will be better prepared and we have more room for it and can take much better care of it. Plus Charlie is now old enough to take care of it himself. I hope. As I do not want to take care of a Bird.

Have you had a Bird? Or would you want one? If so what kind and what color would you like to hav

God opens a door when your not expecting it!! French Toast

The past couple weeks I have been struggling with the Blog. I was wondering if anyone even reads what I write. Or if companies even notice. Then out of the clear blue sky I received a email on my blog from Julie Reis. Mrs. Reis is with French Toast which is a children's clothing store online. They offer School Outfits and so much more.

French Toast

So once I returned her email I was allowed to chose 4 items for Charlie to try out. As well as host a Giveaway on my blog. So I thought I would show you the four items I chose to review and once they arrive Charlie will do a Fashion Show for us and give us his thoughts.

It was so much fun checking out French Toast site that I was going to pick out the items myself and surprise Charlie. But I decided that I would let him help me chose what he would like to try. Now we have not told David that clothes for Charlie will be arriving as Charlie wanted to surprise David.

So as we was on the site we found a pair of Dress shoes Charlie fell in Love with. Because his first year of school my mom and dad bought him a pair. He called them his dancing shoes and is still wearing them. So he chose them for the review but I did not get them as I want to purchase them for him for Christmas. As he does go to Church and they will be perfect for it. But I thought you might like to see the ones he chose and the ones I liked. As he wanted something different than what I chose. But that is OK as he is growing up.
Classic Slip-On (Matt)                  Comfort Shoe with Action Sole (Cole)
What I chose is this pair.                                           Charlie chose this pair.

Then I chose Socks as I knew Charlie would like the style and color of these I found on French Toast.

Sport Stripes Low Cut Socks 6-Pack

As well as this Belt. Which I was so happy to pick out as Charlie has no behind and also no waist. Charlie is so skinny it is hard to find pants and shorts that fit. But we will not have a problem now that we have this fun belt. I like that it comes in a couple different colors and that they have more than one style because I will be purchasing more of the belts in the Future not only for Charlie but for my Nephew as well.
Braided Belt
Then I chose a pair of Track pants for Charlie. Because these have always been his favorite type of pants. As he says they are not hot. Plus they are more comfortable than Jeans. I picked out a blue pair. But I know if Charlie could he would like a red pair as well. As he loves red. Which is natural as it is both my mother and mother n laws favorite color.

Track Pant

The last thing we chose was a pair of shots. It took a while to pick out a pair as Charlie could not decide which pair he wanted. Then when he decided he could not decide on what color. But that was OK as it gives me a ideal of some items to order for his Birthday and Christmas as well.

Belted Cargo Short

So if you have boys and girls do not let "French Toast" fool you because it says school uniforms. Because Charlie does not have to wear uniforms in his school and we still found plenty of clothes he would like to have. Plus I found quite a few items I will be purchasing to give as Christmas Gifts for the Children in our family.

If you like to shop online like I do the site is easy to navigate. I like that they have a variety of payment options including paypal. So what is stopping you? Check out Frech Toast now and let's get your "BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING" done now!!!

So once again I would like to thank Mrs Reis as it has helped us as we was not even sure we would be able to purchase one outfit for Charlie and now thanks to French Toast and Mrs Reis I have a clothes for Charlie and I know he will be the envy of his friends.

Mess Free Glitter by Melissa & Doug

Charlie and I are sharing our thoughts on a review we are doing for Melissa & Doug Mess Free Glitter. As I was sent several of there packs in exchange for the review.

Charlie is crazy about Art of all kinds. So when I was sent a link to the video to check out Mess-Free Glitter I knew it would be something we would enjoy doing together. So once it arrived I let him open the box as I wanted to see his expression. Let me tell you he was so excited he could not wait to open the kits and to do some of the projects together.

So since my sister was here today we opened up the Booster Glitter Pack  that contains a Dog and a rabbit. Which Charlie and my sister had so much fun looking at. They could not decide what to do first but they decided on the Dog. I thought Charlie would have picked the Frog and Debbie the Parrot but I was wrong.

Displaying 20150710_145148.jpg

So once they opened up the Booster Glitter Pack and put all the items out and we went over the directions they took turns coloring the Turtle. Which was so easy and so fun to do. The loved picking out which color to use on the Turtle. Plus they had fun taking it apart and putting it back together.

Once the turtle and rabbit was done Charlie decided he would put them on our glass front door. I loved it as it made the door look dressier. Plus it was something my sister and Charlie did together so it is something I can always keep. Because as Charlie gets older getting him to make products for me will be harder. As boys do not do things like this.

There is so many different kits to chose from that I can not wait to show them to the kids in the neighborhood and there parents as I know there will be something for everyone. Plus I think these would be fun for the teachers in Charlies school to have and use when they do Art.

I also shared the kits with Charlies Sunday school teacher and she loved the kits and how easy they are to use. Plus they keep messes to a minimum.  Knowing there is kits for both boys and girls was a plus she said. She is going to let the Pastor know about them for Vacation Bible School.

There is another set called Underwater Scenes which I loved as it has a Dolphin in the Art kit. Plus Charlie really likes the Octopus. David likes the fish and the treasure chest. Charlie says he would like to share this one with his friend Aidain as Aidain loves water and fish and anything to go with it.

Displaying 20150710_145044.jpg

The next set is the Friendship Foam Stickers which Charlie says would be fun to make and give as gifts for the girls who attend his Birthday party. Plus he knows how much I like Butterfly's so he can not wait to make this one for me. Plus this one has a Owl which reminds me of my mom so I can not wait to put the Glitter on it as I am planning on putting it on my computer to help me remember my mom since she is not here anymore.

Displaying 20150710_144957.jpg

The last set I was sent is the Foam Frames and I plan on putting them together to put Suzzanes picture in. As well as using for Christmas Gifts for Charlies granny and his Aunt as I can put Charlie picture inside it.

Displaying 20150710_145027.jpg

If like me you are afraid the kit would be too hard for the children in your life to do it is not. Plus on the back of each pack is the directions as well as inside the pack which I was happy to know. Because I was able to turn the kit over and read the directions as Debbie did and Charlie did at the same time. So we all knew what we was doing.

Displaying 20150710_110729.jpg

Each set comes with different sets of Glitter sheets and the colors pop. I love that there is everything from Blue to Orange as each color has a special meaning to me. Plus they are colors Charlie likes as much as I do.

As you can see in this picture Debbie is putting the Glitter on the turtle and even when my hands do not work I would not have a problem helping Charlie do the kits as the Glitter is just rubbed on and it does not take a lot of pressure to get it on the foam.

Displaying 20150710_105558.jpg

If you have not used Mess-Free Glitter then I hope you take the time to check it out as it is fun, non messy and comes in lots of different styles. You can do it inside or outside. Plus it would be awesome to take on trips as you can work on these items while in the car and not make a mess.

All in all the Mess-Free Glitter kits from Melissa & Doug was a huge hit. I will be purchasing more of them for Charlie  but to give as Gifts as well.

Zakias Moroccan Black Soap from Giveaway Services

This is a review on Zakias Moroccan Black Soap from Giveaway Services as they sent me a jar of soap and the glove as well as a Loofah for free of charge. In exchange for this review. But the thoughts in the review are all mine and Charlies.

Displaying 20150709_182515.jpg

Charlie is all boy but he loves helping out with the reviews I conduct. So when the package arrived from Zakias he asked if he could open it as he wanted to see what I would be working on. So once Charlie opened it up and I explained that it was a soap he asked if he would be able to take a bath and try it out. But since we was having company I talked him into washing his hands with it and saving the rest till tomorrow to use in the tub.

Which Charlie was OK with. So we went into the Bathroom and I had him scoop a little bit out onto his hands. The first thing he asked me was if it was mud. I let him know it wasn't. He then proceeded to smell it and said it did not smell bad.

Next I had him get his hands wet and rub the soap onto them and he started to see all the dirt come off into the sink and all he could say was man oh man was I dirty. I was like yes, you was. Once he was done rubbing it onto his hands I asked him what he thought of it and he said he liked the way it goes on and how much dirt it gets off. I then asked Charlie how it made his hand feel and he let me know it made them nice and soft.

I asked if he would like to try it out in the bath in the morning and he said yes, I would. Once he agreed he asked if he would be able to use the glove and the Loofah and I let him know he would be able to as I wanted to see how well it worked with both of them.

This may be the only time I am ever allowed in the bathroom with him as most of the time he tells me he is too big for me to come in with him. So this will be interesting as he may opt to go back to no, you can not come in with me only dad. So you will have to stay tuned to see what happens.

In the meantime I also washed my hands with the soap and I loved how well it goes on and that it is not greasy. I like knowing it is not a bar. As I do not like bar soaps as they can hold germs from everyone who uses it. To stop this from happening with this soap I will be getting  either a spoon or a ice cream stick to put some on each time someone wants to use it. So the container does not fill up with germs.

I love knowing they have many different varieties of the soap as it would make a nice Christmas Gift. As well as fun to have in our home for our guests to use. As you can use it daily and it will not harm your skin.

When I use it in the bathtub I will do like the reccomend and leave it on for at least 3 to 5 minutes as it will remove more of the dead skin as well as eas away stress. Which all of us have. Especially me as I am a mom, business owner and wife.

If you would like to try out Zakias Moroccan Black Soap then I have 2 ways for you to try it. The first is next Wednesday I will be hosting a contest and you will have a chance to win the following items:
A Loofah
Kessa Exfoliating Glove
A jar of Zakias Moroccan Black Soap
I will chose the winner on Friday of next week.

Or I have a coupon that allows you to save 20% discount.

Exergen TemporalScanner thermometer Review

This is a review for the Exergen TemporalScanner thermometer Review as I was sent it for free. But the thoughts in this review are mine and mine alone.

Exergen - Temporal Artery Thermometer TAT-2000C

When Charlie gets sick the hardest thing to do is to get him to sit still to take his Temperture. As he will not be still or quite. Plus he will not keep it under his tongue. There has been many times when I have threatened to treat him like a baby and sit it in his rectum. You should hear him scream when I tell him that.

The think is he comes by it naturally as David is the same way. He could be dyeing and he would not let you take his temperate either.  So to do Davids I almost have to tie him to the bed. So when he gets sick I end up just leaving him alone and not bothering him as he is a grown man and can take care of himself.

As for me I am the opposite and want to know what my Temperture is and so I take it numerous times to see if it has gone up or come down. Because I want to make sure it is not to high or to low. Because if it is then I know I need to get to the doctor.

Exergen - Temporal Artery Thermometer TAT-2000C

So one I saw the Exergen Temporal Scanner thermometer I knew this would be something we could all benefit from. I also knew it would make my life so much easier. As all I would need to do is scan there foreheads. Which I can do as they watch TV.

So once it arrived I opened it up and read the instructions and I used it on Charlie as I wanted to see if it worked and it did. It was so easy to hold. As well as see the numbers on. Plus it was fast and it was painless. Charlie only had to stay still for a minute.

Once we finished I asked Charlie what he thought of it and if he would be OK using it when he was sick and he said yes. It is the only one he wants to use. Plus Charlie even said when he grows up it is what he will purchase for his children.

Once we went down to Davids moms I took it with me to show her as she keeps my Niece Payton and I knew this would be much easier for her to use if Payton ended up sick. So once she saw it and tried it out she let me know she would be picking up on for her home for Payton as well as for Payton's mom Alex as she did not have a Thermometer at her home.

With a new Niece being born any day and my Nephew having another small baby as well I am thinking this is one of the Gifts I will get them when they have there Baby Shower as a good thermometer is something all new moms need to have on hand at all times.

Have you used the Exergen Temporal Scanner thermometer? If not would you? Or if you would not why not?

This SUNDAY Charlie, David and I will be visiting Bahama Beach and I am so excited as we have never been.

Recovery In Motion is hosting, Sept. 5th, 2015.

This morning I would like to introduce you to a lady I meet at the NRH Recreation Center last weekend and her run/walk because my dad was a alcholic and so was David. Now mind you I did not lose a child to this. But I did lose my daughter. So if I can help someone else that has lost a child then I know I did the right thing.

So Please take the time to read the little bit she sent me. Then look through the information I posted and Please help us out. But not only that Please share the information with everyone you know as the more people who share it the more she can do!!

This is our first major public fundraiser and I ask you to  help us raise more awareness to all parents, guardians, and children alike.

The run/walk event will help us run our yearly campaigns where we serve to the recovery communities when and where needed.  Feel free to pass the sponsor packet onto anyone who wishes to provide a sponsorship.  We have several platforms available for everyone, even ones where people can walk in honor or memory of a loved one and their name and info would go on the back of the shirt, etc.
So you know a little abut us and what the money will be used for...We provide job resume help, job search assistance, interview outfits, toiletries to sober living/transitional housing/treatment centers
across North Texas.  The run will also provide seed money for our new endeavor, "Miles of Smiles".  It is a dental assistance fund that we are using to help change the lives of those living a life of recovery, boosting their self esteem/confidence, so that they will feel better about themselves, help them get job promotions that were near impossible due to their smile, help correct poor eating habits, etc.

Discover the world of creative storytelling that will send your child's imagination soaring.

As everyone on here knows I have my son help me with my blog. As well as any other business venture I tackle. As well as David. So when I was approached to share Gabriel's story which is a business a mom and son are building together I knew without a doubt I needed to share it.

Here is my Charlie eating before we site down to work!!

But I knew David and Charlie would feel the same way. So today as I sat down to work on the blog Charlie asked me if I had shared this yet and I said no. So Charlie being Charlie "says why not"?? SO without further ado here is Gabriel's story!!
I hope you enjoy it as much as Charlie and I did and I hope you will take the time to visit there website and to purchase something to help Gabriel with his goals as Charlie and I plan on purchasing some of the books as well as the Cards.

Gabriel's Story:
This storytelling card game is a way to help inspire creativity by using a child's imagination. Many children get writer's block. They spend half of their time just trying to figure out what to write about. I am one of those children. I thought, wouldn't it be easier to have a picture to prompt an idea? And with that, this storytelling card game was born. With wonderfully illustrated pictures children will become inspired to create fun and imaginative stories to write about or verbally tell. This is a card game and can be taken anywhere. Children can use it for their story writing or as a fun game to play with family and friends. This game is engaging. Want to get a group of people to suddenly bond and laugh together? Play the game and instantly fun ensues.
Game Info:

There are 54 cards in a pack with instructions on other uses of the game, including writing prompts. I have created a single card pack as well as a deluxe card pack that will contain over 100 cards plus a special gift. The single card pack will cost around $10-$15 when produced. Our goal is to get the price as low as possible for our customers. We are working to put it on Amazon. For right now it will be sold on our website at www.reneeahand.com

The Books
Some of the perks will include books by Gabriel's mother, Award Winning Author Renee Hand. She wishes to support her son in his endeavors. The Adventures of Joe-Joe Nut and Biscuit Bill Adventure Series are mystery books that are science based and interactive. Teachers in school districts or homeschools will be able to use these books as a cross curriculum for students in 2nd to 5th grades. They fill a niche. They are mysteries that cover topics such as animal tracks, rocks and minerals, and weathering, erosion, and art. The newest book will incorporate Greek Mythology.
This is what the books are about:
Book 1 is The Great Pie Catastrophe
In this story each page is surrounded by animal tracks that pertain to each suspect, and at the end of the story there are animal facts and questions pages. It is the case of the missing pie.

Book 2 is Mineral Mischief

In this story each suspect collects a specific rock and mineral. For example: Liam the Llama collects igneous rock like gabbro and diorite, but there is one rock in his collection that has a very unique property. He shares that with you as do they all about their collections.

Book 3 is The Secret of the Missing Arch

In this mystery Joe-Joe Nut and Biscuit Bill get with local famous artists of Acorn Valley to create one of a kind paintings about the weather. They are apart of a fundraiser to raise money for animals who have lost their homes because of the weather. Flooding, drought, what have you. At the auction readers will learn 2 things. One, is what inspired the artists to paint such amazing paintings. Two, meteorologist  Rainstar will explain the science behind the phenomenon. Readers will learn some great information all while solving a mystery.

Book 4 is The Parade of Heroes

Greek History abounds in this 4th adventure in the Joe-Joe Nut and Biscuit Bill award-winning mystery series. Joe-Joe and Biscuit are visiting Acorn Valley's Greek Festival when mysterious things begin happening. Greek hero balloons for the parade are stolen, as are other Greek related items throughout the town. With the parade being a day away, will Joe-Joe and Biscuit be able to make the connection between the items and solve the case before all events are cancelled? Educational fun is added to the back of the book that will enhance learning as readers dive into the world of a Greek mystery. This book will satisfy the standards schools are requiring for Greek Mythology. Great to use in the classroom. This is a fun way to cover this field.

Here is what some people have said about this series so far
.
Hand's first entry in the series, The Great Pie Catastrophe, won Creative Child Magazine's Seal of Excellence Award, along with her second entry Mineral Mischief, which won a  Creative Child Magazine's Preferred Choice Award. With so much to recommend this entry is rich in presentation. A glossary of weather terminology, artist bios and activities for kids are included.
"An engaging and delicious mystery/educational series with a fun pair of animal detectives and several well-crafted storylines." --Kirkus Reviews

"The all-animal cast of characters participate in the mystery and deliver educational and environmental 'lessons' that combine seamlessly as Biscuit Bill and Joe-Joe Nut work to unravel the mystery of the missing research and paintings. One of the most unique aspects of the book was the information found at the end of the story. These end-pieces included information about weather and several weather experiments that can be conducted in the classroom. This delightful chapter book mystery is for older elementary children - highly recommended!" 5 Star Review by Eileen Johnson for Readers' Favorite
