Life can change in the Blink of a eye with a child. As Charlie choked last night.

Last night I was in my room watching TV when I decided to turn it off and come into the front room and check something on the computer. Which I am not sure why I decided to do this. But thank "GOD" that I did. As Charlie asked me for a hot dog and I fixed it for him. I told Charlie to take it and go into his tent and close the door so the dogs wouldn't bother him.

So  started to get busy and I hear Charlie start to walk towards me when all of a sudden I hear him making a awful sound I look up and there is a stricken look on his face and I can tell he was having trouble with the Hot Dog he was eating. Part of it had gotten stuck in his throat and Charlie was chocking.

I was so scared and almost froze in my seat. But thank "God" I didn't because if I had of I might have lost Charlie as he would have died. So even without thinking I jumped up and grabbed him and started to pound him on the back as I could not remember what else to do. Finally the Hot Dog started to come out out. Keep yourself away if you have skin tag. Make sure to cure skin tag with creams and products.

But he would not spit it out as he did not want to get it on the floor which I did not care about and I kept telling him to spit it out as it was coming up and once he started to do that he ended up getting all of it out of his throat and could breathe.

Once he was better all Charlie kept saying was "THANK YOU" mom for saving my life. Now I may or may not have done the right thing. Which is "OK" because at least Charlie is here today and he might not have been.

Will this happen again? It might. Would I do the same thing? I am not sure but what I can tell you is my entire family is going to take a CPR class and I am going to print out this print out I found online so we will know what to do if it does happen in the future.

Because even though my mother n law knows what to do and is around the corner there was no time to call her or even 911 as it would have taken precious minutes  I needed to help my son with. Once it was all over and I called David to let him know what happened he was so upset I was surprised he did not leave work to come home and check on Charlie. You can use that as breast firming product too.

Thank you,

Aqua Dance Handheld 7 Setting Showerhead

Giveaway Services has sent my family the Aqua Dance Handheld 7 Setting Showerhead in exchange for a review. But even thought I received the Aqua Dance 7 Setting Showerhead for free all the thoughts in the review are mine and my families.

We have a Garden Tub in our home as well as two showers. So since David and I had been working on remolding the house we knew we wanted to purchase a new Showerhead. But the question was what kind should we get and where from.

So once I was on Giveaway Services and saw they was looking for reviews on the Aqua Dance Handheld 7 Setting Showerhead I knew I had to apply. So I did and boy oh boy am I ever glad I did. As it is wonderful!!

Once it came in I decided to see if I could put it together myself and surprise David but since I am so short I had to stand on a chain inside the Shower and David heard me moving the chair and got up to see why. So once he saw what I was doing he decided he would help me. But he said you will have to wait I have to get my tools. So the nice part was telling him no, you do not need tools!! As it meant he would be able to do it right then and I would not have to wait weeks.

So he got busy installing it and it only took about 5 minutes. We did read the instructions but he says it was so easy to install that he would have been able to put up the Aqua Dance Handheld 7 Shower Setting even without the instructions. Which was nice because things like that end up lost a lot of times in this house.

Once it was installed and he turned it on so we could see all the different settings I knew I would have to fight to get into the Shower as Charlie would not want to ever get out. But what I did not think about was David and he would be the same way. So once David left for work and Charlie went outside to play I climbed into the Shower.

I liked how the showerhead can hang on the hook or you can take it down to hold and wash your body. As this will make giving the dogs a bath much easier. I tried out all of the settings and I must tell you I feel in love with each of them and I can not wait to purchase another one for the Guest Bathroom.

Mess Free Glitter by Melissa & Doug

Charlie and I are sharing our thoughts on a review we are doing for Melissa & Doug Mess Free Glitter. As I was sent several of there packs in exchange for the review.

Charlie is crazy about Art of all kinds. So when I was sent a link to the video to check out Mess-Free Glitter I knew it would be something we would enjoy doing together. So once it arrived I let him open the box as I wanted to see his expression. Let me tell you he was so excited he could not wait to open the kits and to do some of the projects together.

So since my sister was here today we opened up the Booster Glitter Pack  that contains a Dog and a rabbit. Which Charlie and my sister had so much fun looking at. They could not decide what to do first but they decided on the Dog. I thought Charlie would have picked the Frog and Debbie the Parrot but I was wrong.

Displaying 20150710_145148.jpg

So once they opened up the Booster Glitter Pack and put all the items out and we went over the directions they took turns coloring the Turtle. Which was so easy and so fun to do. The loved picking out which color to use on the Turtle. Plus they had fun taking it apart and putting it back together.

Once the turtle and rabbit was done Charlie decided he would put them on our glass front door. I loved it as it made the door look dressier. Plus it was something my sister and Charlie did together so it is something I can always keep. Because as Charlie gets older getting him to make products for me will be harder. As boys do not do things like this.

There is so many different kits to chose from that I can not wait to show them to the kids in the neighborhood and there parents as I know there will be something for everyone. Plus I think these would be fun for the teachers in Charlies school to have and use when they do Art.

I also shared the kits with Charlies Sunday school teacher and she loved the kits and how easy they are to use. Plus they keep messes to a minimum.  Knowing there is kits for both boys and girls was a plus she said. She is going to let the Pastor know about them for Vacation Bible School.

There is another set called Underwater Scenes which I loved as it has a Dolphin in the Art kit. Plus Charlie really likes the Octopus. David likes the fish and the treasure chest. Charlie says he would like to share this one with his friend Aidain as Aidain loves water and fish and anything to go with it.

Displaying 20150710_145044.jpg

The next set is the Friendship Foam Stickers which Charlie says would be fun to make and give as gifts for the girls who attend his Birthday party. Plus he knows how much I like Butterfly's so he can not wait to make this one for me. Plus this one has a Owl which reminds me of my mom so I can not wait to put the Glitter on it as I am planning on putting it on my computer to help me remember my mom since she is not here anymore.

Displaying 20150710_144957.jpg

The last set I was sent is the Foam Frames and I plan on putting them together to put Suzzanes picture in. As well as using for Christmas Gifts for Charlies granny and his Aunt as I can put Charlie picture inside it.

Displaying 20150710_145027.jpg

If like me you are afraid the kit would be too hard for the children in your life to do it is not. Plus on the back of each pack is the directions as well as inside the pack which I was happy to know. Because I was able to turn the kit over and read the directions as Debbie did and Charlie did at the same time. So we all knew what we was doing.

Displaying 20150710_110729.jpg

Each set comes with different sets of Glitter sheets and the colors pop. I love that there is everything from Blue to Orange as each color has a special meaning to me. Plus they are colors Charlie likes as much as I do.

As you can see in this picture Debbie is putting the Glitter on the turtle and even when my hands do not work I would not have a problem helping Charlie do the kits as the Glitter is just rubbed on and it does not take a lot of pressure to get it on the foam.

Displaying 20150710_105558.jpg

If you have not used Mess-Free Glitter then I hope you take the time to check it out as it is fun, non messy and comes in lots of different styles. You can do it inside or outside. Plus it would be awesome to take on trips as you can work on these items while in the car and not make a mess.

All in all the Mess-Free Glitter kits from Melissa & Doug was a huge hit. I will be purchasing more of them for Charlie  but to give as Gifts as well.

Exergen TemporalScanner thermometer Review

This is a review for the Exergen TemporalScanner thermometer Review as I was sent it for free. But the thoughts in this review are mine and mine alone.

Exergen - Temporal Artery Thermometer TAT-2000C

When Charlie gets sick the hardest thing to do is to get him to sit still to take his Temperture. As he will not be still or quite. Plus he will not keep it under his tongue. There has been many times when I have threatened to treat him like a baby and sit it in his rectum. You should hear him scream when I tell him that.

The think is he comes by it naturally as David is the same way. He could be dyeing and he would not let you take his temperate either.  So to do Davids I almost have to tie him to the bed. So when he gets sick I end up just leaving him alone and not bothering him as he is a grown man and can take care of himself.

As for me I am the opposite and want to know what my Temperture is and so I take it numerous times to see if it has gone up or come down. Because I want to make sure it is not to high or to low. Because if it is then I know I need to get to the doctor.

Exergen - Temporal Artery Thermometer TAT-2000C

So one I saw the Exergen Temporal Scanner thermometer I knew this would be something we could all benefit from. I also knew it would make my life so much easier. As all I would need to do is scan there foreheads. Which I can do as they watch TV.

So once it arrived I opened it up and read the instructions and I used it on Charlie as I wanted to see if it worked and it did. It was so easy to hold. As well as see the numbers on. Plus it was fast and it was painless. Charlie only had to stay still for a minute.

Once we finished I asked Charlie what he thought of it and if he would be OK using it when he was sick and he said yes. It is the only one he wants to use. Plus Charlie even said when he grows up it is what he will purchase for his children.

Once we went down to Davids moms I took it with me to show her as she keeps my Niece Payton and I knew this would be much easier for her to use if Payton ended up sick. So once she saw it and tried it out she let me know she would be picking up on for her home for Payton as well as for Payton's mom Alex as she did not have a Thermometer at her home.

With a new Niece being born any day and my Nephew having another small baby as well I am thinking this is one of the Gifts I will get them when they have there Baby Shower as a good thermometer is something all new moms need to have on hand at all times.

Have you used the Exergen Temporal Scanner thermometer? If not would you? Or if you would not why not?

KinderGlo Dragon Review

Have you heard of Kinderglo? If not I would like to invite you to check out there website at: http://kinderglo.com/store as I was sent one of there Nightlights a Dragon to try out and review. Before I share my thoughts with you I would like to know I received the product for free. But the thoughts in the review are all mine and my families.

Dragon Night Light

First I would like to apoligize to Kinderglo as I do not have the Dragon I was sent to review. As we had gotten it back in December but I had to take some time off. Due to some personal issues. While I was off we painted the house and packed up a lot of the items and I have not been able to get into my office to unpack it.

But I gave the Nightlight to Charlie for Christmas as I knew he did not like sleeping in his bed without a light. Plus like his sister Suzzane he loved Dragons. So the first night he got it Charlie received the Dragon he carried it everywhere with him.

He even took it outside as it got Dark and sat it down next to him while he played in the yard. It put off just enough light for Charlie to play cars without bothering anyone. Once his friends saw it they wanted the Dragon but Charlie would not give it to them. He did not even want them to pick it up. As he was afraid they would mess it up.

But once I explained to him the Dragon was made of plastic and would not break he let them hold it. As well as turn it on and off. All the kids in the neighborhood loved it and asked if they could show there parents. Once they did I heard a lot of the parents tell the kids they would think about getting them one as well.

The Nightlight is not only good for children but infants and adults as well. I plan on purchasing several of them this year for Christmas as I know my Niece and Nephew would like one. As well as my Niece Lily that is due any day now. I am even thinking of getting it for her Baby Shower so her mom has it to use in the Nursery. This way she would not have to turn on the overhead light at night when she checks on Lily.

Knowing they are rechargeable is great because as much as we will use ours we would spend a fortune in Batteries. Which means David would shoot us. As Batteries are so expensive. Plus right when Charlie or I wanted to use the Nightlight the Batteries would not work.

As someone that hates Storms and I can use this in place of Candles and Lighters as it will stay on for up to 8 to 10 hours. Knowing there is a timer and it will go off in 30 minutes is also a plus. Because it gives Charlie enough time to fall asleep.

I can see Day Cares using Kinderglo during Nap Time in the little kids rooms as it is calming.

There is a couple other Nightlights from Kinderglo I would like to get and one is the Angel in Memory of my daughter Suzzane to put in the bathroom. So anyone who goes in at night will have a light to use. As well as the Owl for my office in memory of my mom. Who collected Owls when I was a child and is now also gone.

Owl Night Light         Angel Night Light

Now this is our Secret so do not tell David but I also may have to have the Elephant as I love love love Elephants and collect them!!

Elephant Night Light

So if my friends and family are listening my Birthday and Christmas is coming up and I would love to have my very own Kinderglo Nightlight. Not that I would get to keep it as I am sure Charlie would kidnap it. But I could have it for a few minutes!!

We also wanted to provide you with this unique coupon code for you can share with your readers, which can be used to receive a 20% discount/$5.00 off any purchase in our online store.

Denton Natatorium and Water Works Park

Denton Natatorium and Water Works Park

Charlie, David and I are Blessed again this year to be able to visit Denton Natatoruim and Water Parks. As well as take a friend Aidan with us. Aidan has never been able to visit a Water Park and is so excited he can not sit still.

As for Charlie we have been visiting water parks since he was a baby. But if I can say this
Denton Water Works is our favorite place to visit as they can play outside and if they get to hot we can go inside as there is a inside pool and slide as well.

Now I live in Haltom City so it is a little bit of a drive to get there but it is OK as we can bring our lunches and stay all day which I like. Because besides the Water Park is a Skate Park which Charlie also likes to play at. Plus as we drive into Denton I am able to see new businesses I want to go back and visit.

So this allows all of my family and friends something to do and we do not hear I am bored or I want to go home. All I hear is "aww mom" is it time to leave. Just 5 more minutes. Or can we come back tomorrow. So I know it has been a huge hit. I hope one day to be able to purchase Season Passes for us but until that time we will have tomorrow to remember.

And Charlie will have something to work toward and save his money for because if he really wants to come back he needs to work for the money. Which I like as this teaches him responsibility and he learns that not everything is handed to him on a Silver Platter!!

So be watching tomorrow for our adventures at Denton Water Works and what all the boys get into. Also be watching to see what we can get David to do while in the park. Plus you might even see me in the pool. But do not tell anyone as I hate having my pictures taken as I am as big as a "whale" but I am working to change that. So next year if we are able to come back you will see a new and better me!!!!

In the meantime check out Denton Water Parks here and let me know what you think of it. If you have been there let me know what your favorite part is and if you have not been but would like to attend let me know why!!

Did you know there is a "National Hot Dog Day"??

Do you eat Hot Dog's? If so what do you like on your's and why? I have to have Mayo on mine but sometimes I will use Mustard, Charlie is Ketchup and David is Heinz 57. I know he is weird!! LOL

                                                                             Cure It!!!!

Americans are craving a cleaner wiener right about now, after an estimated 150 million hot dogs were consumed on National Hot Dog Day (aka, the Fourth of July)  earlier this month. If all those franks were conventional, consumers may be suffering from a fat and sodium hangover with an astounding 2.4 trillion grams of fat and 82.5 trillion milligrams of sodium, not to mention the antibiotics given to most conventionally raised animals.

But there’s good news: a survey from Applegate shows that Americans want a cleaner wiener, with 85 percent saying they would prefer hot dogs with a simple ingredient label and list (and by the way, half the fat and way less sodium). The better news, healthier hot dogs really do exist.

Here are some tips:
How to determine a healthy (versus un-healthy) dogs:
v  Look at the total fat on the hot dog’s nutrition facts.  If the total fat is over five grams you might as well call that hot dog a fat dog.
v  Look at the sodium. Anything over 600 mg is way too much and about one fourth of the recommended amount of sodium an adult should be getting in one day.
v  Lastly and most importantly, look at the ingredients to see if there is nitrate in the hot dog. Nitrate may be labeled sodium nitrate, nitrite, or sodium nitrites, and all of these should be avoided.

How to prepare a favorite regional hot dog:
v  The Southern Dog: Add Low Calorie BBQ Sauce
v  The Mid-west Dog: Add dill pickles, tomatoes, bell peppers, and brown mustard
v  The Southwest Dog: Add Jalapenos and Spicy Mustard (and/or Salsa)
v  The Northwest Dog: Add low fat cream cheese and caramelized onions
v  The Northeast Dog:  Add low fat chili and low calorie cheese

Alphabet Zoo is a personalized book I received for a review.

If you have not had a chance to check out the site called  Little Heroes at  http://www.littleheroes.com/ and you have small children or you are a teacher you should as the books they carry are awesome. I was sent Alphabet Zoo from them and I must tell you it has become one of Charlies favorite books as it has not only him inside it but his Aunt Debbie and Cousin David. These are 2 of his most favorite people in the world and so I knew this would make a nice Gift for Charlie. Once it arrived I sat down and read it to both Charlie and David and they both where surprised to find out that it had them both in it. When I was reading it I noticed at the top of every page the letter we would be learning so the next time I read it to Charlie I am going to point the letters out and have him right them at the same tine as it will be good practice for him. Showing him his name in the book has helped him with learning to spell. This has made teaching him easier and I would use these books with anyone I home schooled as it not only teaches reading but also writing. When we where reading Alphabet Zoo there was animals in here I did not know and so David and I as well as Charlie took the time to look them up on the internet. Which was fun as we where all able to learn things together. So even though this is a children's book it taught David and I both something. Here is where you can check out there line of personalized preschool learning books

Koverz, Kidzikoo, Kooleez Now sold in Target's!!!

Today I would like to talk to you about a fun new site I found and it is called My Kidzikoo http://www.mykidzikoo.com/. You may ask what would a store called My Kidzikoo sell and this is what I will share with you today. They carry three prducts that all moms will need at one time or another. The first product is called a Kidzikoo and it is a Baby Bottle and Sippy Cup Holder.
The second product is called Koverz
The thirs product is called the Kooleez
So as you see each of these products are different but that they cover every age of a child. Plus they are products that would make a moms life so much easier. I know when Charlie was little if I had known about the Kidzikoo that I would have never been without one. Now that I am helping out with Jaquelin I am going to show these to her Aunt so she can show them to Amanda as I am sure Amanda will want to get her some of them. Knowing Amanda she will even buy one in every style. The reason I saw this is they do not like Baby J as we call her to get dirty. She can not even play in the dirt. They will also like it as it will keep her hands from freezing. Plus I think Baby J would like it as it is soft and easy to hold on too. I like knowing it fits most 8 to 12 ounce bottles and sippy cups. With me knowing several moms who will be having babies soon I think that these would make a nice shower gift.
The next product I would like to talk to you about is the Koverz as it is for a Sport Bottle. Since Charlie and I live outside and I am always making him carry his bottle of water with him I was excited to get this for him to try out. As soon as it arrived he went and grabbed him a bottle of water and he used it. Charlie liked it so much that he even wanted to take it outside to show his friends. Then they wanted to know if they could have one. I took mine with me when Charlie and I went to the park to meet friends and Baby J's Aunt Shannan meet us and she also liked it. Shannan has decided she would like to order one for her and her family. So I was glad to know this as now I know what I can order them for Christmas.
The last product I was sent was the Kooleez and I must tell you it was my favorite out of everything we where sent. As it holds the Popsicle that you get in the store and freeze. Charlie and I are eating these all the time in the summer and he ends up so sticky and messy that if we are outside at the park we have to turn around and come back home. Now we will not have to as we can take these with us. Since I end up with a household full of children in the summer I am going to be getting a lot more of these for them as well. I also will be showing this to all the moms in the apartment complex as I think that they should check into them as well. I can tell you they will save me time and laundry. So as you see Koverz has items for every age of your babys lie as well as products that us adults can use as well. I hpe you will take the time to check out the site today at http://www.Koverz.com

WOW it is so hard to believe but Charlie will be 5 a week from today.

So since Charlie decided he wanted either a Transformers or a Wrestling Party he and I decided to spend some time today online searching for items we could use for his Birthday Party. We had so much fun when we where shopping as we went over the last 4 years of parties he had and he thought it was so neat that each year I would go out of my way to make it special for him. So for something fun and different I let him shop on a new site I found called Party Pail and i let him pick out the items he would have wanted each of his 5 Birthdays to have been if he had been able to chose on his on. The 1st Birthday he said he would have chosen Cute and Curious George 1st Birthday Party which was nice as his sister loved Curious George and so it would have been like she was with us. I liked knowing that it was a Monkey as love Monkies. When we where on the site I let him look and make sure they had everything he would need to go with this Birthday theme and he found the following items: invitations, cups, plates and napkins. The things I loved and would have liked to purchase was the Cake Cup toppers and the candle as it is just too cute. Adorable Jungle Monkey Candle Favor The Monkey reminded me of Charlie as it is all mischievous looking like Charlie.
I know that if we had used this Theme for Charlies 1st Birthday it would have been perfect and a lot of fun. What we actually had for his Birthday though was a Charlie Brown red Baron party and it was so much fun showing Charlie the pictures from it. His second Birthday was Monster Cars and so he did look on party Pail and they did not have Monster cars. He did find some for a construction party and he said that those would have been fun. I thought this was neat as I actually did a party with his dad a Construction Party one year before Charlie got her. With Charlie finding that out he was so amazed and thought it was so cool. If you would like to see those invitations you can view them at Under Construction Party Supplies http://www.partypail.com/under-construction-birthday-party.html Then he decided he wanted to see what they would have had for his third Birthday as his cake was custom made and it was a 18 Wheeler or a Semi Truck to match his grandfathers truck Barney. So he looked on the site and he said that he would not have minded having Harley Davidson Invites
So then we finally got to his 4th Birthday and he remebered it and that we did Lightening Mc Queen cupcakes and he said he would not have changed it for anything in the whole world as it was his favorite party ever and he did not want to look for anything to take its place as he wanted it to be just as it was at the party. I then asked him if he wanted to look for invitations and things for this year and he said no as his granny and his sister Leslie had picked out the perfect items for him for his Birthday. So as you can see if you are a child, a adult or a Bride you can find everything you need on Party Pail to create a perfect party. Right after Christmas is my friends nieces party and Jaquelin is going to be one and I can not wait to share this site with her Aunt Shannon and help her pick out the perfect invitations for her 1st Birthday Party. If it was me I would chose this one as I loved it. Home > Birthday Parties > 1st Birthday Party Themes > Her Highness Her Highness Party Supplies Everything on sale - 50% off Tableware!

Lesson #23: Meltdowns Happen

Well if you had read my earlier post yesterday you would have wondered which child I woke up with.

When Charlie got up yesterday we had a wonderful morning.

One of his friends was over and so they played and watched movies.

Then we had to run over to my sisters to tell my dad good bye as he was leaving to go home.

Which Charlie  was perfect while we where there.

Then we head out to the mall which I am sure was not a lot of fun for him. I am looking for a new phone and he was so good while I talked to the people. Then we made it to the Disney Store. Where he and I both had so much fun just shopping. He came out with new Cars from Cars.

Then we go and look at a furniture store.

Then he rides the train and we leave.

We then go to eat and we stop at Texas Roadhouse and I figured he would fuss about our choice but he did not. He eat really good. By now he is getting tired.

Only I have to stop at WalMart as I have to get the dog a leash I have no choice. So David pulls up to let us out. I will not allow him to take his Spiderman in so there starts a melt down. Right in front of the store he sits down and starts to throw a fit. I struggle to get him off the floor so David can go and park. He decides to sit in front of the door so being the cool parent I am I decide not to yell or scream at him. I simply walk inside the store thinking he will follow me. On no that does not happen he takes off running down the sidewalk David is still sitting in front of the store. He gets out to chase him as my knee will not allow me to. He runs around the building and ends up in the shampoo aisle I am told by one lady. So David goes to move the van and I run in to find him.

He is not where she says he is.

Now then I am freaking out and thinking they are going to have to lock the store down and I can not even remember what he was wearing.

So I start to walk to the service desk and I am calling for him the whole time. He answers I am in the books I found a Spider Man book. I tell him to come to me right now I take him into the restroom and I know your all  not going to like this part but I bust his behind.

Then I take him out of the store and no Lucy and Sandy have no leash so they can not go outside which is unfair to them.

We get home and David starts to get on him as well. I make him stop other than telling him he does not get his new toys for three days. Then I put him to bed.

Next thing I know he comes in and says I am sorry Mommy and hugs and kisses me. Then goes and lays down with David. You would think this would be the end of it. But he was up and down all night.

I am not sure what today will bring once he finds out he does not get his new toys but I am sure it will be a terrible day as well.

The only thing positive out of this whole ordeal as I thought I had the only 4 year old to do these types of things and that I should be enrolling him in a counseling session as he hates us and himself until  I found another blogger who has a 4 year old who has these meltdowns as well.

Please check out her blog as well and let me know what you would have down. Also Please give me some advice on how to handle these things.
