Small Business Owners can struggle!!

As I transition away from setting up Craft Fairs back into Blogging full time. I have quite a few friends I do not want to lose. But would like to help out as I see them struggle on ways to reach the Goals they need to in there businesses. So today I wanted to share with you all some links to help you if you do events and Craft Fairs. Because as someone who has done them you have to change things and sometimes you do not know what to do. Or who to ask for help.

Like last night when my friend Stephanie Venema called me about Mary Kay as she is wanting to really kick her business off and grow. So we went over somethings I think that would help her. As well as talked about her Down line and how she can help them but how they need to help themselves.

So today as I was browsing the internet I found these articles I think may help her out. So I thought I would share them with you as well. Plus someday I may decide to do a event or two and they can help me out as well.

Have you ever heard "girl's Can't?? Well if so this is a company for you!!

Ever been told you can't because your a GIRL????

Girls Can't WHAT?

Well when I was little even though I was older than my brother my dad used to tell me that all the time. So when I had my daughter Suzzane I made it a point to tell her she can do anything anyone else can do. It does not matter if you are a man, women, boy or girl just try and do the best you can. If you find you can not do it it is OK as there are people to help you.

When she was killed and I married David and gained Leslie I told her the same thing as well as to believe in herself. Since I did that she now has Believe tattooed on her wrist so she never forgets it. This is nice but hard to see as it was also Suzanne's favorite saying.

So when I found the site Girl's Can't What I knew I would spend a lot of time shopping on it. As I would not only get items for myself but also for Leslie. With the huge variety they have I can do most of my Christmas Shopping on there for the ladies on my Gift Giving list.

I love that the items cover all types of activities as well as businesses. My favorite is the girl sitting at the desk in front of her computer. I ordered this for myself in a Coffee Cup. Once it arrived and I showed it to David and Leslie they said it would make a perfect gift for David's mom as she is working hard to master her computer.
Broadcaster (Light) Coffee Mug

The other day I went to make me a cup of Coffee and my friend Shannon saw my Coffee Cup and asked me where she could buy one for her and her sister as well as her niece. When I showed her the site "Girl's Can't What" it took me forever to get Shannon  off of,  as she found so many items she would like to have.

I love the picture on the front of the coffee cup and the colors of it. It reminds me of my sister as well as my daughter. The one I chose looks like my daughter and so it keeps her close which is nice as I miss her so much.

I love how the site Girl's Can't What allows me to chose which type of girl I would like and what she looks like. They even have one that looks like Leslie which makes me want to purchase one for her as well. For Leslie though I would get her a T Shirt with the same lady and saying on it.

Both my niece and Leslie may end up going into the Military so  I was thinking I would come and get them some items to take with them if they do enroll if not I will get them Gifts for College. As most teenagers they have not decided for sure what they want to do which is nice because on this site I will be able to find them something no matter what they do.

For myself I may even order me a Travel Mug with this on it as she offers them as well. You can check them out at http://www.girlscantwhat.com

Broadcaster (Light) Mug
Leslie graduates this year and there is even a shirt I could get Leslie,

Each design bears the Girls Can't WHAT? message of empowerment that girls can do anything they set their mind to do. To date, we have sold thousands of t-shirts, tote bags, hats mugs and more. Our most popular designs are the firefighter, the preacher, hockey player, drummer and guitar player.

Charlie and I are are practicing for school

Charlie and I talked last night before we headed to bed after watching Speed Racer about the things we could do today only for me to wake up to it raining which means we may have to change our plans. But that is OK. As I knew I had a ace up my sleeve as I could go into my office and get out a new school item I was sent for Charlie from Alex Toys. It is called Ready Set School. I was so glad when it arrived and I saw all that was inside it as I knew it would help us with his school work and also make learning fun.

Before I begin my review though I would like to let you know that even though I was sent Ready Set, School for a review that the thoughts in the review where all mine and mine alone.

Ready, Set, School

Inside the box it is packed full of things I did not even think about teaching Charlie. Like a shoe that teaches him to tie. Like so many parents if he wears shoes that tie I just do it for him instead of taking the time to teach him. Or when we buy shoes I either pick ones up that has Velcro or ones that just slip on. So this past week Charlie and I have been getting the shoe out and practicing this way he will know how to tie before he starts to school.  Even David has set down and showed Charlie how and taught him a song to sing which would help him learn to tie the shoes which is nice as he does not help him much with these types of things.

With me trying to teach Charlie his ABC's before he gets into school this year I was excited to see that Ready Set, School came with a ABC book that he can write on and wipe off. He has been good about getting it out when I work and working beside me. This has cut down on his bothering me which allows me to get more down. Plus it is helping prepare him for school by getting him to sit still.

Charlie knows all his numbers so with the 123 book he has been teaching our cats and dogs to count. Plus he has been showing his dad his numbers so David knows how to count. It is so cute as know he goes around telling me how many things are and he is also learning to add and subtract. By him learning this I know he is going to be ready for school.

Charlie already knew all his colors and shapes but there was a book in there on it and it has helped us as I keep asking him what things are when we are out and about as I do not want him to forget once he gets into school. Plus we take the book out and look for the colors inside it. He has even showed his sister Leslie the book and ready it to her. It has helped bring them closer together.

The other day I was busy and there is a Dot to Dot book inside the kit and I had not ever had Charlie do them as I was not sure he would understand how but he got the book out on his own and did it and then brought it to me to show me. I was so surprised as it was exactly right and he did not miss any numbers at all.

When we went into the Dollar Store the other day he even picked out a Dot to Dot book which he would not have done if we had not gotten this kit.

Inside the kit is everything you need to work on it. As it had crayons, markers scissors and scissors is something we needed as I need to practice his cutting with him and this will give him and David something to do together while I work.

This is not all that comes in the kit as it also has some stickers in it and stencils and so as you can see there is so much to do that your child would not get bored at all.

Next summer when Charlie goes up to my moms I will be packing it all to take with him as it will give them something to do together and keep him from being bored.

I think these would make wonderful items for the teachers on your list.

I can not wait to share the website with David's mom as well as mine as there is so much on it they can get for Charlie and it will be just like a toy only much better as they are learning items.

Ready, Set, School

Age: 3+ Years

Bring the fun of getting ready for preschool home with Ready, Set, School! There are dozens of fun pre-school activities in one box. Learn shapes with stickers, a wipe away ABC and 123 books, a Tie My Shoe lacing card with instructions, scissors and stackable finger crayons.
A wonderful way to engage little ones preparing for pre-school. For older children, it's fun to continue the pre-school learning fun at home.

The next item I would like to get for Charlie would be the Ready set, Cut as this is something Charlie does not know how to do.

Dear Santa Charlie, would like this.Ty Beanie Babies - Wrinkles the Dog - Retired

My son woke up the other day and asked to go and visit Santa and so I took him. I thought he would ask for some Wrestling items only he asked for a "BABY BULLDOG". Not a stuffed one he said but a real one as his puppy Lucy needs a friend.

I can tell you this is not something he will get. But I did get him the stuffed one above.

Original Sprout

As a mom of a little one I am always looking for products that I can use that will not harm my son in any way. You see Suzzane was so sensitive to everything that when I had Charlie I was so afraid he would be the same way only he is not. This is great but it means that he can use any products on the market and because of this people will just buy what ever for him and I do not like that. As some of the items that have gotten for him in the past has had harmful side effects they say. So when I was online and found this new site called Original Sprout I knew it would be something I would like to try out. So I contacted them and they allowed me to review some of there products and now that I have had the chance to try them out I am hooked. I love everything they sent me. I have even found more items I plan on trying out in the future. As they offer a line of products for teens and with me buying items for Leslie a lot of the time I would like for her to try these out and see if she likes them as they would be better than the products she uses right now. Knowing they offer Gift Certificates in a plus as well. Plus I like that they have a travel size line as that would be just the right sizes for Leslie to take with her when she goes to camp.  The Holiday Pack is something I would like to find under my tree as I used the products on myself and I can tell you my hair felt so much better and it did not tangle as easily. I am thinking I may ask Santa to get me some for Christmas and if he does not then I could ask David to get me some for Valentines as it would make a nice Valentines Gift as well. The products I was able to try out are below and if you do not find ones on here you would like to try Please check out there site as they have many many more and I am sure even the men if your life would find some to use.

I let my friend Shannan try this out on Baby J as she has sensitive skin and it did not bother her at all. Shannan said she liked the way it made Baby J's skin feel. She also liked that it had no added fragrance to it. I can tell you I would purchase this as a Gift for Baby J. I also let Charlie use it on his arms and I could tell that it made them smother. David also tried it as his hands had cracked from work and he says it did make a difference. I then used it on my hands and I could tell that it made them smother as well. I will be buying more of this.

Kicking Horse Coffee www.kickinghorsecoffee.com

David is an avid Coffee Drinker and can not survive with out  his cup of coffee or should I say 6 cups of coffee. My mother is the same way.

So I am always on the lock out for new coffee companies that they can try the coffees out from. So when I found Kicking Horse Coffee I knew it would be a fun site  for David to try there coffees from as not only did the coffee fit him the name does too. I can hear David saying the site  cool and it would be something I could see David sharing with his friends at work.

So I contacted them and not only are they allowing me to try out there coffee but I will have one to giveaway to one of my lucky readers. So let me tell you about the coffee I was sent it was:
Kick Ass [Dark] SWEET • SMOKY • AUDACIOUS The name says it all: carpe diem, play to win, no regrets. Don't let this cute little donkey fool you-he plays for keeps. This take-no-prisoners roast is popular with athletes who'd rather enjoy a good cup of coffee than choke down an energy bar before a workout. A great mix of Indonesian and Central American beans that is guaranteed to kick some sense into you. Tasting Notes: Intense, full-bodied, dark-roasted attitude You might also like: 454 Horse Power & Hoodoo Jo Note: Cans are offered as 'whole bean' only. It is important to store your coffee properly to keep it fresh. Keep at room temperature, sealed in an air-tight container. Avoid plastic containers as your coffee's flavor may be compromised. Once opened, expect to use your coffee beans within a 1 week to 2 week period.
This  flavor of coffee from Kicking Horse Coffee is one of Davids favorites. He says that the flavor is bold and that it is strong but not to strong. Which is something he prefers in his coffee. In fact he likes Truckers Coffee or coffee that you stick a spoon into and it stands up. That is not me as I hate it when it is so strong. But I did enjoy this one as David made a pot while my mom was in town and we all tried it.

I asked my mom what she thought of it and she says she would not mind buying it for herself and also as gifts for her friends. She also thinks my dad would enjoy it as well.

I know that it is something I would purchase to add to the stockings I am putting together as all my friends drink coffee and I think it taste better than other brands I have tried. I even asked David if he would like to have it again and he said yes. I even had him and my mom ask me to show them the website as they wanted to see what other brands of Kicking Horse Coffee was available. So I can tell you that this is a new brand of coffee  that we will be serving in the future. As  as we all enjoyed it so much.

I like knowing that they carry different flavors of the coffees such as Decafe as this is normally what my mom would drink. Plus they have Espresso and all of my girlfriends would enjoy that as it is what they prefer to drink.
Here is the package I would purchase for my "Girlfriends". It is the Trio of Coffee  and it would allow us to Wake up to Kicking Horse Coffee on our  holidays.

A trio of coffees; 454 Horse Power Kick Ass Three Sisters Certified Organic, Certified Fair Trade, Certified Delicious! 3 x 1 lb (454g) Retail Bag of Coffee

I think David should purchase this  for his bosses. The reason is it would give them a chance to try some of the different flavors from Kicking Horse Coffee and they would be able to chose there favorite so they could go and buy there own once they run out.
One of the things I liked  knowing is  that the coffee can also be sold in bulk as it would allow me to make up several Gift Baskets to give out to the people on my Gift List.

I also like knowing that  as we could have a coffee tasting party and each person could take a little of the different varieties home with them.

Everyone who knows me knows that I prefer tea over Coffee and when I saw that Kicking Horse Coffee also sold different flavors of tea I was in Heaven. Early Grey is my favorite and so I wanted to share with you some of the things they say about there's.

Earl Grey - Organic Our organic Earl Grey Tea honours the legendary blend of fine black tea and bergamot oil that was presented to Earl Grey the second, Britain's prime minister in 1830. Smokey, golden pale in colour, and with a hint of sweetness, this popular tea is sure to appease your afternoons. Enjoy 18-20 cups per tin depending taste preference. Ingredients: Luxury organic black tea, Organic osmanthus petals, Organic natural flavours Preparation: Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste. Even though milk and a dash of sugar help enhance the flavor character of this tea, it is perfectly acceptable to consume this tea plain. Only I do use milk and sugar in mine if it is hot as it is the way I was brought up. David laughs at me and thinks it is gross. Oh well he should try it.    So know with Kicking Horse Coffee I can still have my Tea. This  made my day as I drink tea 24/7 non stop and I am at a loss when I run out.

My sister is the same way I am and so I can even shop with Kicking Horse Coffee for her Christmas Presents.

On Kicking Horse Coffee I found several new brands that I can not wait to try out.  So I hope Santa reads this and will bring me some of them. As I  would like to have  new and different teas to try out next year with my friends and family.

Kicking Horse Coffee even has some  wonderful chocolate and this would make a nice gift for Charlie. As he has finally started to drink Hot Chocolate. I also think my sister would enjoy it as well as she is like me and loves it. My daughter Suzzane did as well.

So as you see with just this one site I can shop for so many people and never even leave home.

As they even  carry all types of accessories   that would  would make  my shopping even easier.

As I found a Percelator for my dad. As well as a cap for David.

So I can tell you that I will be doing a lot of shopping with Kicking Horse Coffee and I hope you check them out at http://www.KickingHorseCoffee.com Glenda

Double FREE BOOKS! Home Shows held December 18, 2012 - January 31, 2012, with minimum sales of $400 plus one booking receive Double FREE BOOKS! Check out the chart below. Ask your Consultant for more details. Host A Party Get My Newsletter Fun things about Usborne: Yes, there is a way to make a wish list on the UsborneAlaska site. When you sign in, and you find a book you want. Click on the book and it will offer the choice of purchase or add to wish list. Yes they can still sign up for E shows. They would have to contact me via contact for at ( http://e3981.myubam.com/contactus ) saying they would like to host an e show and I would get their information and set it all up for them online. Usborne Books are no longer available through Amazon. That use to be a way most people purchased them. The following link shows what you get for the 2 kit options when you join: http://e3981.myubam.com/Join/NewConsultantKit A box of festive stencils especially designed for little children to use. The simple cut-out shapes, such as snowman, a Christmas tree, a snowflake and a decoration, are very easy to draw around. Ideal for making home-made Christmas cards or gift tags.
Here is a set of cards I was sent for Charlie and I must tell you I did not even know they carried these but I was so excited when they arrived as Charlie is getting into art so much. This is going to help us with his school work. As he can draw when I am working. Plus it will give him and David something to do together as well. Since I can not draw at all it will make it easier on me as well. You see as I can get the cards out when Charlie is ready for me to draw with him. It is will help him learn to color in the lines. Plus it will allow us to work on the different shapes. Even thought these are Christmas Stencils we will use them through out the year. Plus we can share them with his friends. The nice thing about the First Stencil Cards is if Charlie likes them as well as I think he will I can order him some more as they have different sets. I saw a set for the farm which I know he would love. I also saw My First Stencils for animals and this is one me and his sister Leslie would like. So if I order it for him I can have her come over and spend some time with him and they can use it. The nice thing is I can host a Online show and everyone I know can come and shop and with there purchases I would be able to get Charlie some free books and this would make it so nice as I could add to our school. Since some people might not know which ones to get him I could even help him create a Wish List that we could send to everyone including Santa. So if you would like to make Santas shopping easier this year them Please check out Usborne Books at: http://e3981.myubam.com/p/1291/first-stencil-cards-christmas The next book we where sent is Thas's Not My Snowman. I liked it as it is small enough to pack in a bag when we go out. Charlie liked it as it is blue. He also like that it is a touchy-feely book. Once it came in and I sat down and showed it to Charlie he wanted to take it straight over to two of his friends who he thought would enjoy it as they are a little younger than him. Riley and Shannan both enjoyed the book as did there children and they are thinking about creating a Wish List. Shannan is even going to share the website with her sister as she home schools her children. So Charlie and I would say if you have not heard of That's Not My Snowman that you should check it out at:
This delightful series of board books is aimed at very young children. The bright pictures, with their patches of different textures, are designed to develop sensory and language awareness. Babies and toddlers will love turning the pages and touching the feely patches.
This is a David and Charlie book as I do not do bugs. At all. No way. PERIOD. LOL Charlie says I am so funny when it comes to them as no matter what type of bug it is I squeal like a girl. I tell him I am a girl. But he says no I am a "MOMMY". So go figure. LOL Anyway I like our 1001 Bugs To Spot as Charlie loves to be outside and it allows us to carry our school out with us. Plus it helps us decide what bugs we see. I like the cover of the book as it is so pretty. Plus on the cover it tells us which types of bugs are inside the book and on what page. Charlies favorite section is 4 giant millipedes. If you had David choose he would chose 1 thorn spider. As for me the only ones I would like is anything to do with Butterfly's. The thing I can tell you though is that every child here loves to get this book and go out and look for bugs. So for Christmas I am going to get Charlie a bug finding kit. This will keep him busy for a while. Another reason I enjoyed the 1001 Bugs To Spot is it will help with Charlie learning to count and anything that will do that I am all for. The last book we where sent was the Big Book of Big Machines
I knew that this book would be David's favorite as he has drove a lot of the machines in the book. So it was fun to see Charlie and David sit down and go through the book and watch David tell Charlie about all the machines. Charlies favorites was the Bulldozer which lead to David telling Charlie why he enjoys Bob he Builder and why he is called that. So with this book it brought Charlie and David much closer and I enjoyed seeing that. It was so nice. I think out of all the books we where sent that the Big Book of Big Machines was my favorite as it also showed me a sign of David I do not normally see. So if you have not heard of Usborne Books I do hope you will take the time to check them out at: http://e3981.myubam.com/p/991/big-book-of-big-machines Once there set you up a E Show and make a Wish List and come back and share it with me Please. As I will be giving away a $30 Gift Certificate from Usborne. Glenda Colleen Fowler Blogging for Health Sponsor me at BlogHer 13' http://www.myveganglutenfreelife.com

WOW it is so hard to believe but Charlie will be 5 a week from today.

So since Charlie decided he wanted either a Transformers or a Wrestling Party he and I decided to spend some time today online searching for items we could use for his Birthday Party. We had so much fun when we where shopping as we went over the last 4 years of parties he had and he thought it was so neat that each year I would go out of my way to make it special for him. So for something fun and different I let him shop on a new site I found called Party Pail and i let him pick out the items he would have wanted each of his 5 Birthdays to have been if he had been able to chose on his on. The 1st Birthday he said he would have chosen Cute and Curious George 1st Birthday Party which was nice as his sister loved Curious George and so it would have been like she was with us. I liked knowing that it was a Monkey as love Monkies. When we where on the site I let him look and make sure they had everything he would need to go with this Birthday theme and he found the following items: invitations, cups, plates and napkins. The things I loved and would have liked to purchase was the Cake Cup toppers and the candle as it is just too cute. Adorable Jungle Monkey Candle Favor The Monkey reminded me of Charlie as it is all mischievous looking like Charlie.
I know that if we had used this Theme for Charlies 1st Birthday it would have been perfect and a lot of fun. What we actually had for his Birthday though was a Charlie Brown red Baron party and it was so much fun showing Charlie the pictures from it. His second Birthday was Monster Cars and so he did look on party Pail and they did not have Monster cars. He did find some for a construction party and he said that those would have been fun. I thought this was neat as I actually did a party with his dad a Construction Party one year before Charlie got her. With Charlie finding that out he was so amazed and thought it was so cool. If you would like to see those invitations you can view them at Under Construction Party Supplies http://www.partypail.com/under-construction-birthday-party.html Then he decided he wanted to see what they would have had for his third Birthday as his cake was custom made and it was a 18 Wheeler or a Semi Truck to match his grandfathers truck Barney. So he looked on the site and he said that he would not have minded having Harley Davidson Invites
So then we finally got to his 4th Birthday and he remebered it and that we did Lightening Mc Queen cupcakes and he said he would not have changed it for anything in the whole world as it was his favorite party ever and he did not want to look for anything to take its place as he wanted it to be just as it was at the party. I then asked him if he wanted to look for invitations and things for this year and he said no as his granny and his sister Leslie had picked out the perfect items for him for his Birthday. So as you can see if you are a child, a adult or a Bride you can find everything you need on Party Pail to create a perfect party. Right after Christmas is my friends nieces party and Jaquelin is going to be one and I can not wait to share this site with her Aunt Shannon and help her pick out the perfect invitations for her 1st Birthday Party. If it was me I would chose this one as I loved it. Home > Birthday Parties > 1st Birthday Party Themes > Her Highness Her Highness Party Supplies Everything on sale - 50% off Tableware!
So as you can see no matter the age from the 1st Birthday through adult with Party Pail you can plan and hold the perfect party. Glenda

Rock n Baby Boutique 2 cars t shirts for Charlie

Have you heard of Rock'n Baby Boutique???
http://www.rocknbabyboutique.com

Cars, Lightning McQueen Tie Shirt or onesie's!!  You might ask why I would be shopping on a babies site when my son is 5? They carry items for Charlie as well as for any child. When I took the time to browse the site I found quite a few shirts that I would not mind getting for Charlie as they are different than the types he usually wears. Plus they are different than what all of his friends wear. I was sent the Cars, Lightning McQueen Tie Shirt. When this shirt arrived I wanted to give it to Charlie right away but I knew it would make a nice Christmas or Birthday Gift, so I put it up so he would not see it. Then on Monday he and I where both having a bad day because neither of us felt good, so I went and got him the shirt. When I did I was so glad as it made him smile. You see he and I where both sick with the flu but all it took was the T Shirt from Rock'n Baby Boutique to make Charlie fill a little bit better. When I ordered the shirt, I ordered the size he would normally wear, but I was told I should try a 7 as they run small. I am so glad she let me know that as it fit Charlie to a T. The hard part was getting him to take it off so I could wash it!! Everyone says they love it and wanted to know more about the site I got it from, so it was fun showing them the website for Rock'n Baby Boutique as some of the moms have daughters and they found things for them as well. I was sent a second shirt as well for a review but I am not going to put the picture of it up as Charlie has not seen it yet and since he is always around when I am working I will wait till I give it to him. I can tell you though he is going to love it. It is another black T Shirt with a red racing car on it. It has a Tie as well. I did show it to David and he loved it and wanted to give it to Charlie right away!!!

When you are on Rock'n Baby Boutique take the time to look for items for you as well,  as I found some things I would like to have such as the
Black Minky Dot Throw
Since I stay cold so much of the time and I always have blankets in the living room,  I thought this one would be pretty to keep in there. Plus I think it would be nice and soft. As well as very warm. So I am going to show it to David and let him know Santa could bring it to me and I would be a happy camper.

Did you know Rock'n Baby Boutique even carries furniture? That is what brought me to the site as I saw this Blue Stuffed Chair with a Ottoman.
Can you see Charlie kicked back in this chair watching his wrestling match? Telling David and I to bring him his Monkey Cheese and Doggy Beer? Charlie would think he was grown up as he would have a chair like his dad's. I think it would be fun to get it and put it in my room for when we are reading this way we do not always have to climb up into the bed.
