Glee Make Your Own Chocolate Kit www.gleegum.com
Did you know that there is company called Glee you can see it at http://www.gleegum.com and it offers "Make Your Own Chocolate kits
as well as make your own Chewing Gum kits. Plus they also have a
"Make Your Own Gummies". The Gunmmy one is the one that Charlie
and David want to try out and so I am thinking I will purchase it
for David to go into his stocking for Christmas. I also think I
would purchase the gum kit for my sister and myself as we both love
out gum and I think it would be fun to make our own gum.
When I contacted the company and asked them if they would allow
me to host a review and a giveaway for them they said I would be
able to chose which kit I could try and so I let them chose what
to send and they sent the chocolate one. I was so glad they did
as I love anything that has to do with chocolate. So does Charlie.
Once it arrived I sat down to open the box as I wanted to see how
hard it would be to make it as it says for 8 and above. With either
mine or Davids help though Charlie can do it. We just would let him
stir the candy and we would make sure to always be next to him.
So I had David and Charlie sit down and I pulled up the site and
we went over what came in the kit which is the following items:
Inside each Make Your Own Chocolate Kits you'll find: organic cocoa butter, cocoa powder, confectioner's sugar, starter crystals, a temperature indicator, paper candy liners, instructions, and the story of chocolate.
All you have to do is melt the cocoa butter, add the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir, stir, stir until it cools to the right temperature; add the starter crystals so that the chocolate "tempers," and enjoy delicious home-made chocolate from scratch! By the way, you also get some cacao beans - we thought you might like to taste a few.
Each Chocolate Kit makes 8 oz. of dark chocolate!
Then we opened the box together and we went into the kitchen and we started to make the chocolate. I think we had more fun making it than we did eating it. It makes 8 ounces of Dark Chocolate which made Charlie so happy as he loves Dark Chocolate. I wish they had Milk Chocolate.
I like knowing that they have the story of chocolate as it helps me teach children and so I can use the kits in school.
Since I live in a apartment and there is a Boys and Girls Club here and the kit tells us how to use these in a classroom I am going to take to the lady over the class and see if she would purchase these for the children to make to give them to there parents in school.
Story
The Legend Of Chocolate
Chocolate comes from cacao beans which were originally found only in Central and South America.
Cacao was so special to the ancient Aztecs that they told this legend: Their god, Quetzalcoatl, brought the cacao tree from Paradise to earth, traveling on a beam of the Morning Star. He gave the tree as an offering to the people, and they learned how to roast and grind its beans into a paste. They added spices and mixed it with water calling it "xocolatl" or "bitterwater". They believed that it brought wisdom and knowledge to those who drank it.
Today, cacao is an important part of agriculture in the tropics all around the world. The legend of chocolate lives on!
The nice thing was in the box they sent me was a bunch of samples of the Gum that they carry and I was so excited to try them out as there was so many different flavors.
Glee Gum Tangerine This is one that I allowed my friend Allegria to try as she likes Tangerine and she enjoyed it and said she would buy it again. With there being two pieces of gum David also tried it and he enjoyed it as well.
Glee Lemon Lime Sugar Free knowing that this one was sugar free is nice as it is something I would not mind Charlie having as he likes to chew gum. I let him try it thinking he would not like it and that it would be sour but he says it is not and that he would like to get it again.
Glee Gum Peppermint is one that I let David and I try together. The flavor is good. It is not over powering. Peppermint is not one of my favorite flavors but it is something that I might try again. I even let Charlie taste it and he liked it alot.
This reminded me of the Chiclets I used to get at the bank when I was a child and went with my parents.
re-fresh Mint was one I let David and Charlie have and they both enjoyed it a lot. They said that they would not mind buying it again. I can tell you I would not mind Charlie having it again as it is also sugar free.
Spearment everyone knew this one was mine as it is my favorite flavor of gum and mints. I was nice and I did let David and Charlie try it and they both enjoyed it as much as I did. I can tell you that I am so happy to know I can buy these at
Whole Foods as I am going to go and get me some to keep in my desk.
Cinnamon this is one I wanted to try as I like Big red Gum and I wondered if it would taste like it. To me and David it tasted better than Bog Red Gum and it is something I would purchase for my dad and my nephew as they both would enjoy it. It would be something that I would put in there stockings.
The last one we tried was the Bubble Gum Flavor and it reminded me of the bubble gum I would buy as a child and I really enjoyed it. I think my son and I would like to buy it again. I also think that David would like to have it again as well. Today I would like to share with you a fun store I found. It is called
EVRIHOLDER and you can check it out at This is a online store that carries so many fun and unique items that I could stay on all day shopping. When I was on there I found items that I needed in the kitchen and bathroom. I found items that would make nice stocking stuffers. I also found items that would go good in the party bags I am putting together for Charlies Birthday. With a little one it is so much easier to do my Christmas Shopping online and I was worried about how I would fill his stocking and also Davids. With this store I do not have to worry as they have everything I need.
The nice thing is I could even let David and Charlie shop on the site for me and I would have no clue what they would pick as there is so many items I would like to have. I can tell you that I will be asking Santa to stop by there and pick up some of the items I saw not only for me but for the people on my list.
I was allowed to chose 5 items that I could review and I must tell you that was so hard to do as they had so many items I would like to check out. The nice part is that they have items for every room in your house.
Let me share with you some of the items I chose and who I chose them for as well as why I picked them.
The first item I picked was a pack of Crazeee-Strawz as Charlie and I use straws all the time. When I saw then I knew they would make a nice stocking stuffer for him and his friends. Plus I could put them in the party bags I am putting together. I could even stick one in my stocking as I am a big kid and think they would make drinking my tea so much more fun. I think I need to have a Girls Nite out and we use these as it. I like that the colors are colors Charlie would like. He would take the blue and green. David the orange and me the pink. knowing that there is 8 straws in the package is nice as well as this is how many kids will be at the Birthday party.
The next item I chose was also for Charlie and it is the Sip "R" Eyes and it is a pair of funny glasses and it is from Nesquik. Which Charlie and I drink all the time and so with these I could buy him a bottle of chocolate syrup and wrap them up together and it would make a nice present. Or I could lay them out for him to find on Christmas Eve to use at our breakfast. The only problem with that is that David wants a pair as well and so it seems I will be shopping with
Evriholder again before Christmas as I like to find new and unusal items to put in the stocking and Charlie would think it is funny to see his dad with a pair of these glasses on. In fact I may even have to order a pair for me.
The third item was also for Charlie but it is candles that I can use on his Birthday cake and they are called Colorific Candl'z. I chose them as the flame is the same color as the candles and I thought the children at Charlies Birthday party would enjoy them. Plus there is 12 in the package and with 2 parties on that day it was enough for both of them. I like the colors of the candles and I know Charlie will as well as they are his favorite colors. There also biodegradable which is nice. plus non toxic and this is something we need when there is children around.
The next items is one I picked out for David and it is a wine saver as he loves to open a bottle of wine and stick it back in the icebox. By the time he finishes it it is flat. I am hopping this will cut down on some of the waste. I like that it is easy to use. I think it would make a nice gift for some of the people here. It has a lid with it that would make pouring the wine so much easier. So Please check it out and let me know what you think of it.
The last item I chose was a Purse-Hook for myself. I figured I was good and picked items out for everyone else and so I thought I deserved something as well. I chose it as it had a heart on it and I collect hearts. I also liked that it would keep my purse up off the floor. I think every lady who carries a bag should have one. I like that it is small enough to fit in my bag so I always have it with me. I also like knowing it holds 11 lbs as it would hold a small bag that Charlie fills with toys and I would not always have to bend down to pick it up.

Same Battime same Bat Channel Part 2
Today I wanted to share some more of the items I was sent when I was chosen to host the Batman Party. Charlie was so good last night that David and I put his tent back up for him in my kitchen close to where I work. he asked me to sleep in it so I did. I had him go and get a bath and brush his teeth. While he did that I went and picked out 5 new Batman figures that we could play with in the tent last night. Plus I needed to work today and I figured they would keep him busy. You might ask if these are the last items we had gotten and I must tell you they are not. There will be 2 more parts to this review. In the meantime here is the figures we played with last night.
Out of these 5 I did not have A favorite. David liked the Swamp Raider and Charlie liked them all. Once David gets home today he and Charlie are going to get them all out and play in the tent. We are going to make hotdogs and watch out Batman movie and save the world.

If you are like me and have dry skin then I would like to talk to you about a new lotion I found from Reviva called Elastin and Collagen Body Firming Lotio. I wanted to try it out as some of my skin is sagging. It did help and I was happy to share it with my friends. I like knowing that I use this at nite and so I put it on before I go to bed. Holy Moley To The Bat Cave
How many times as a child did you hear this? As for me it was a lot as my brother never missed a Batman show. I thought when I grew up I would never have to watch them again and low and behold I was wrong. Along came Suzzane and 4 years later my nephew and they got hooked on it. There where many days we could hear them playing. Suzzane was always Robin and David batman. Know here we go agsin with the Batman toys as Charlie is getting to where he is always wanting to play with them. It is fun to know that Batman has come this far. But there is someday as I do not want to hear his name as it makes me miss Suzzane so much more. Yesterday was one of those days as it was the day she was killed. But Charlie wanted to play and he wanted to have someone over and so I knew the best way to keep them in there room was to take out the items we had gotten for the Batman Party we hosted. I am so glad I did take them out as they had so much fun. The funny part is Charlie would not let anyone play with his Robin he put it up and told them it was his moms. The Batman Toys we played with yesterday where these ones.
This is the one that Charlie would not allow anyone to play with and it is going up on a shelf in his room as a reminder to Suzzane and how much we both Love her.
Since I was sent so many wonderful items for Charlie and his friends to try out this is all I had gotten out yesterday. I thought that since we had had the party and they knew there where a lot more that they would fuss. I also thought they would be mad because I did not get out the Bastmobile but they where not. As I told them that if they where good and took care of those and helped clean there rooms once they where done playing they could come back today and we would get some different ones out. So Charlie is still asleep but his friend Kegan is not and he has already been down here knocking on the door wanting to know if Charlie was up. So as you see with these new Batman toys my house is the house to be.
Why don't you bring your children over to play and we can have a adults conversation. Unless your like me and these are calling you to come and play if so we can see if the boys will share and we can have our own party.
I know if David and Kegan's dad Marco had it there way they would have a party.
Today I am even going to let them watch the move we got.

The Christmas season is my favorite time of year. I know you might be cringing while reading this because it can also be a crazy busy time and has the potential to be very stressful. I think I can help!
As my daughter and I have started writing our second book, Holy Hospitality (the working title), and speaking at churches and events, I have realized most women get really stressed out when thinking about having people over during this season! That is, until they realize it’s all about the guests.
I know your brain knows this, but does your heart?
Let it soak in. It’s not about the actual presentation. It’s about the occasion and what you are really preparing for—gathering with family and friends. Doesn’t this make it enjoyable and, might I dare say, exciting?
Does your heart beat faster to know that, when you open the door to your home, you might actually be opening up the door to relationships, encouragement, hope and even a life with Christ? Do you experience the excitement of knowing that, when you set the table, this might be where the life-changing conversation will happen?
When you are decorating your front door with a wreath and garland and making it festive and attractive, you are actually highlighting the physical object that may invite real community and relationships! I know I have quite an imagination, but it’s true. It has changed my whole enthusiasm for design and hospitality.
I have become fascinated about all the scriptures that reference doors. One of my favorite verses is Matthew 7:7. Knock and the door WILL be opened...what a fabulous promise. Take a moment to think about that! We absolutely know that this passage isn’t about the design, but it is what draws people in, and most obviously the front door physically allows people in. So, why not make it inviting?
Another entry point into relationships is the place where most conversations happen with families—the table. Making it beautiful is just another way to draw people in. We’ll address that in more detail in our second holiday article, as that is another whole conversation.
So take some time at the beginning of this Christmas season to think about opening the door to relationships and how a well-designed entry can help. Instead of getting stressed out about decorating, invite your creativity to kick in, keep it simple with garland and a wreath and be the catalyst by opening doors to new relationships.

As a step mom one of the hardest things to watch is when one of the kids gets into trouble
You see David has 2 daughters and a son. I am pretty close to the baby daughter and also his son. The oldest daughter not so much. So when Travis or Leslie end up in trouble I hate it as it makes me think about what I would do if it had been Suzzane or Charlie. The things I hate the most is that I am there step mom but when they get into trouble I am supposed to stay out of it and let David and his ex wife deall with it which I do not think is fair.
I saw this because Travis has lived with us several different times when he gets into trouble and it always cause trouble for David and I. So a couple weeks ago when he left his wife David decided he could stay here again. He did not bother to ask me or Charlie how we felt about it and so I was hurt and angry.
It got to the point where I thought I would leave and let David have both boys and he could figure out what to do as no one would listen to me. Travis was allowed to just sleep all day and not look for a job as he was going through a hard time.
So the night he came here to stay he had just signed his self out of the hospital as he had thought of killing his self. I did feel sorry for him but I knew it was a way for him to get attention which he did.
I told David time and time again he would go back to the girl and when he left it would upset Charlie but David says no he will not take her back. She tried to kill him. He is done with her.
My mother n law came to pick up Travis so he could go and talk to her and he did go back to her. Now we all have to worry about weather she is going to hurt him or not. We also have to try and figure out what type of place to admit him to if he begins to drink and do drugs again which I am afraid he will do.
So today I decided to look online for places and I found one that is called Morningside Recovery Program http://morningsiderecoveryfaqs.com/ide and it has a lot of things that we would need to have for Travis. The question is if we could afford it as Travis does not have insurance.
So as I write this I Pray to God that it does not come down to use admitting him into here but with him being Bi-Polar and not taking his meds we may be and it may be soon than anyone wants to think about.
As I have buried one child and I do not want to bury a second one and I think that Morningside Recovery Program http://morningsiderecoveryfaqs.com/ can keep us from losing a second child.

Roux Maison Laundry Detergent
Today I would like to share the items I was sent from Roux Maison which is a all natural line of laundry products. These are the types of items that I would have had to use with Suzzane. As most of the soaps on the market would cause her to break out. I do not think these would as they do not use harmful ingredients which is in most anything we buy. I like that they offer so many different scents. I also like that they offer a travel size which would have been nice as I would have been able to pack them in her suitcase as I could have sent them to camp with her and also to my mothers as she used to spend Christmas and Summers there as well.
Essential Detergent - Fragrance-Free - Set of 3 - 1 oz bottles
2+ machine loads or 4-6 hand washes
Exceptionally pure with no masking ingredients
This is the one I would use the most as it is fragrence free and this is what I had to have for Suzzane. I would have even bought extra from Roux Maison for my mother to have on hand incase the samples I sent did not last. Or incase my mom or my dad decided to try it.

You see he is a boy and he is always getting things on his clothes and so I was so anixious to see if it would work or not and it did. Charlies clothes have never looked better. Charlie and his Cowboy Jersery
The other day David and I went and cleaned out our storage building and brought everything to the house so we could go through it all and see what we would like to get rid of. Inside it was a tote full of Charlies baby clothes and so I got them out and was telling him who bought him what and when.
One of the items we found was his First Cowboy Sweatshirt that my nephew bought for Charlie. It is a size 2 and Charlie wears a size 5 right now. So I went ahead and put everything back up. The next day I hear Charlie get up but he does not come into the front room like normal so I wait a few minutes to see what he is doing. He comes walking up front in the sweatshirt and a pair of jeans. He insist it still fits and he needs to go and play football.
I wish I was able to get a picture of him in it but my phone was not charged. The one way I could get the sweatshirt off was for him to call my nephew who told him he would get him a new one. In the meantime he has a Dallas Cowboys Jersey that he is know wearing everywhere and refuses to take off. So is it because he is a Dallas Cowboys fan??
No, it is because his cousin and his grandfather are and he wants to be just like them. So for Christmas we have a friend who is going to have a new baby and Charlie has decided he wants to buy them a new Dallas Cowboys Jersey just like his. With Charlies Birthday coming up I thought I would look online for him a new sweatshirt but even though I did not find a sweatshirt on baby fans I did find him a baseball cap I can get him and also a sweatsuit set as he needs one for this winter.
