Aeropress Metal Filter

Both my mother when she was still here and my husband would drink COFFEE from sun up to sun down and never get tired of it. So we was always purchasing Coffee Filters and there was times when we ran out and they would have to run to the restaurant to get Coffee because sometimes stores would be closed.

So when I found this I knew it would save us both money and time as well as gas. The only thing is now my mother is not here and David can not drink Coffee the way he used to. So I decided to let my mother n law try it out as she make a pot of Coffee every morning and she loved it. She has since purchased several to give as Gifts.

I even used it to make Iced Tea with as we use the Coffee Pot and I always use a filter encase the Tea Bags bust so the grounds do not end up in my tea. This stops that problem. Plus it does not end up soaking up and tearing causing paper to end up in our Coffee or Tea.

If you would like to check out the Aeropress Metal Filter for yourself you can find it on Amazon at:

Kicking Horse Coffee www.kickinghorsecoffee.com

David is an avid Coffee Drinker and can not survive with out  his cup of coffee or should I say 6 cups of coffee. My mother is the same way.

So I am always on the lock out for new coffee companies that they can try the coffees out from. So when I found Kicking Horse Coffee I knew it would be a fun site  for David to try there coffees from as not only did the coffee fit him the name does too. I can hear David saying the site  cool and it would be something I could see David sharing with his friends at work.

So I contacted them and not only are they allowing me to try out there coffee but I will have one to giveaway to one of my lucky readers. So let me tell you about the coffee I was sent it was:
Kick Ass [Dark] SWEET • SMOKY • AUDACIOUS The name says it all: carpe diem, play to win, no regrets. Don't let this cute little donkey fool you-he plays for keeps. This take-no-prisoners roast is popular with athletes who'd rather enjoy a good cup of coffee than choke down an energy bar before a workout. A great mix of Indonesian and Central American beans that is guaranteed to kick some sense into you. Tasting Notes: Intense, full-bodied, dark-roasted attitude You might also like: 454 Horse Power & Hoodoo Jo Note: Cans are offered as 'whole bean' only. It is important to store your coffee properly to keep it fresh. Keep at room temperature, sealed in an air-tight container. Avoid plastic containers as your coffee's flavor may be compromised. Once opened, expect to use your coffee beans within a 1 week to 2 week period.
This  flavor of coffee from Kicking Horse Coffee is one of Davids favorites. He says that the flavor is bold and that it is strong but not to strong. Which is something he prefers in his coffee. In fact he likes Truckers Coffee or coffee that you stick a spoon into and it stands up. That is not me as I hate it when it is so strong. But I did enjoy this one as David made a pot while my mom was in town and we all tried it.

I asked my mom what she thought of it and she says she would not mind buying it for herself and also as gifts for her friends. She also thinks my dad would enjoy it as well.

I know that it is something I would purchase to add to the stockings I am putting together as all my friends drink coffee and I think it taste better than other brands I have tried. I even asked David if he would like to have it again and he said yes. I even had him and my mom ask me to show them the website as they wanted to see what other brands of Kicking Horse Coffee was available. So I can tell you that this is a new brand of coffee  that we will be serving in the future. As  as we all enjoyed it so much.

I like knowing that they carry different flavors of the coffees such as Decafe as this is normally what my mom would drink. Plus they have Espresso and all of my girlfriends would enjoy that as it is what they prefer to drink.
Here is the package I would purchase for my "Girlfriends". It is the Trio of Coffee  and it would allow us to Wake up to Kicking Horse Coffee on our  holidays.

A trio of coffees; 454 Horse Power Kick Ass Three Sisters Certified Organic, Certified Fair Trade, Certified Delicious! 3 x 1 lb (454g) Retail Bag of Coffee

I think David should purchase this  for his bosses. The reason is it would give them a chance to try some of the different flavors from Kicking Horse Coffee and they would be able to chose there favorite so they could go and buy there own once they run out.
One of the things I liked  knowing is  that the coffee can also be sold in bulk as it would allow me to make up several Gift Baskets to give out to the people on my Gift List.

I also like knowing that  as we could have a coffee tasting party and each person could take a little of the different varieties home with them.

Everyone who knows me knows that I prefer tea over Coffee and when I saw that Kicking Horse Coffee also sold different flavors of tea I was in Heaven. Early Grey is my favorite and so I wanted to share with you some of the things they say about there's.

Earl Grey - Organic Our organic Earl Grey Tea honours the legendary blend of fine black tea and bergamot oil that was presented to Earl Grey the second, Britain's prime minister in 1830. Smokey, golden pale in colour, and with a hint of sweetness, this popular tea is sure to appease your afternoons. Enjoy 18-20 cups per tin depending taste preference. Ingredients: Luxury organic black tea, Organic osmanthus petals, Organic natural flavours Preparation: Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste. Even though milk and a dash of sugar help enhance the flavor character of this tea, it is perfectly acceptable to consume this tea plain. Only I do use milk and sugar in mine if it is hot as it is the way I was brought up. David laughs at me and thinks it is gross. Oh well he should try it.    So know with Kicking Horse Coffee I can still have my Tea. This  made my day as I drink tea 24/7 non stop and I am at a loss when I run out.

My sister is the same way I am and so I can even shop with Kicking Horse Coffee for her Christmas Presents.

On Kicking Horse Coffee I found several new brands that I can not wait to try out.  So I hope Santa reads this and will bring me some of them. As I  would like to have  new and different teas to try out next year with my friends and family.

Kicking Horse Coffee even has some  wonderful chocolate and this would make a nice gift for Charlie. As he has finally started to drink Hot Chocolate. I also think my sister would enjoy it as well as she is like me and loves it. My daughter Suzzane did as well.

So as you see with just this one site I can shop for so many people and never even leave home.

As they even  carry all types of accessories   that would  would make  my shopping even easier.

As I found a Percelator for my dad. As well as a cap for David.

So I can tell you that I will be doing a lot of shopping with Kicking Horse Coffee and I hope you check them out at http://www.KickingHorseCoffee.com Glenda

Ponderosa Coffee www.ponderosaroasting.com

I think my husband should have been a trucker as he loves his Coffee and the stronger the better. David and my mother will sit in a Coffee Shop all nite and drink Coffee and talk to anyone who walks by. It drives me up a wall. My Uncle is the same way. He would live in the Waffle House. When they go they do not buy food just Coffee and talk and talk and talk. I swear my Uncle and David are worse than 2 women who have not seen each other for a month. So since my mom moved out of town and David works such weird and long hours I thought it would be fun to find some new and unique coffee companies for David to try the Coffee out from. This way he can stay home and have his favorite drink and we can save some money. So the company I reached out to was called Ponderosa Roasting Company and you can see it at When I was on the site I knew that I would find lots of different coffees David d would enjoy. So I contacted them and they where kind enough to send me a 1 pound package of Mistletoe Mocha. So once it arrived and David was at work I opened it and I made me a cup so I could try it out and then I put the rest in a pretty container that would fit in David's stocking. Even though David is the one who enjoys different flavors of Coffee and I prefer regular this was not bad. I did enjoy it and I would not mind buying it again. I think I would like to serve it at the Christmas Open House we conduct. The Coffee has a nice smooth flavor and it is one I know David will enjoy. I also like knowing they offer other fun scents for Christmas such as Christmas In A Cup and I am wanting to try it as well. What I am thinking is I will buy several different flavors and I will make up small Christmas Bags for Charlie to hand out to the neighbors with some homemade cookies as it will be something we can do together as a family. When I told them I wanted to try out the Coffee they even asked me if I would prefer Coffee Beans or for them to ground it for me. I had them Grind mine for me. I am so glad I did as it is easier this way. But for some of the neighbors I know the Beans would be OK. If you have not had a chance to check out Ponderosa Roasting Coffee Company Please do so at http://www.ponderosaroasting.com/ Once you are on the site sign up for there newsletter and Please follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterst. Lets help them make this wonderful coffee company the next big thing in coffee. Since I was not sure what all the differences in Roast where and I though you might not know either I wanted to share them with you. Roast Descriptions Have you ever wondered what the differences are between a dark and medium roast... well we have the answers! Medium Roast We sell most of our coffees as medium roast for several reasons. One being that much like wine each coffee region and estate has their own characteristics. With a medium roast, you are able to taste the different characteristics of the coffees we offer that create a distinctive flavor. Dark Roast This is where the coffees are not only a darker color but they are also shiny on the outside of the bean. This is due to the fact that as you roast coffee darker the oils that are in the coffee bean come to the surface of the bean. This tends to be a smokier tasting coffee. Black & Tan This is a 50/50 combination of the two above roasts. This means that you are able to get the characteristics of the medium roast along with the smokiness from the dark. It tends to have a rich body and is perfect for satisfying people who are enjoy one or the other. if you need to raise money for a Cause you believe in then Pleas check out there Fundraising section as they would be able to help you with this. They even offer Coffees for different causes and I would like to invite you to check them out as well. If you are looking for Gifts for the Holiday season then check out the Gift Sets that they carry. If you work in a office and need Gifts for your staff they even carry Corporate Gifts and I like this as it allows you to give something new and unique to your staff. Now if you would like to know more about Ponderosa Roasting Coffee Company check out there about me page here where Cheryl tells you about her and her husband.
