Marlow and the Monster by Sharon Cramer

Product Details

Marlow has a Monster, and he's not very happy about it! Every night, Marlow is visited by this unwelcome guest. It pesters him terribly and often has him in trouble with his parents. At his wits' end, Marlow tries to give the Monster to little sister, Sarah. Is it Sarah who finally figures out what to do with the Monster? This is a charming tale, rendered in visually stunning detail. The book is quill pen and ink, black and white. The only splash of color is the Monster. Enjoy this walk on the wild side as you and your small ones help Marlow negotiate his Monster and learn that things are not always as they appear. Don't forget to find the mouse on every page!

Today I would like to share with you a book I was able to review called Marlow and the Monster. My son is obsessed with Monsters. They live in our kitchen. So I wanted to show him they could be in other parts of the house. I also wanted to show him that they could be nice. So when I read him this book I was able to do both of those things. He loved knowing you could make friends with the monsters. Now he has decided that he would like one for a best friend as he would always have someone to play with. I love that the story taught a lesson. The illustrations are so cute. I love the colors Mrs Cramer chose for Marlow and the Monster. I think this is one of my new favorite books. I think it would make a nice gift for both boys and girls from 2 on up. If you have not heard of Mrs Cramer or Marlow and the Monster Please take the time to look her up as I am sure you will enjoy this book as well as the other books she has written.

There is a tip sheet on the webpage, how parents can help children deal with their monsters, scary things, etc. and it is featured in Oh Baby Magazine!  Here is the online link  http://www.ohbabymagazine.com/oh-mommy/how-to-deal-with-monsters-bad-dreams-and-other-scary-and-frightening-things/
