Today I would like to share with you a new company I found when I attended a Craft Show a couple weeks ago. This new company is called Tricky Dix. The show I attended was the Taste of Addison. When David and I saw the company banner he wanted to go right over and see what it was. Only I was not to sure of it. But once we got closer and saw that it was spices I knew that I would have to try them out as we are always Bar B Que and when we do we like to find new and different spices to try out. With all the ones they offered we knew we could have fun coming up with new and unusual foods to share with our friends.
So once we got home like most people do I emptied out my bag and threw all the cards into a drawer to go through later. So the other day my step son Travis was over and he was bored and decided to rearrange my kitchen. To do this he had to empty out my Junk Drawer and when he did he brought me all of the cards out of it. I sat down and started to go through them. This is where I found the card for Tricky Dix.
I am so glad I did as I contacted them and they asked me to give them a call and see what we could work out. So I decided to let them call me so I would not bother them. I spoke to the gentleman of the company and he was so nice and so kind. We decided he would send me one of each of the varieties as well as the bigger canisters and I am so glad he did as they did not last long. We used them for a party we had and everyone of them was a huge hit. I will be purchasing more of them to give as Gifts. If you have not heard of Tricky Dix I wish you would check them out at
As you will not be disappointed.
One of the items I will purchase the next time I go and place a order is a shirt for David and I as I think it could lead to some interesting conversations. The shirt I would pick for me is this one
For David I think I would like to get him this white one as it would be coller and dressier than the black one. Although David usually prefers black.
So know I would like to talk to you about the actual products we where sent for the review and what we thought of them all.
This is the first items I would buy as I would like to get them to go in several peoples stocking that I know who would enjoy them. As they could use them to make different items for there families.
Get your hands on the original Tricky Dix Mojo. This tin is the perfect size for using Tricky Dix as a drink rimmer. Or keep it by your spices and use a bit as a meat rub. It’s your choice! 19 ingredients featuring garlic, onion, cumin, and mild chilies. The original is the one that I wanted to try and so David made me a stick and we added it to it. It was so good. It is know one of my favorite seasonings of all times. Even though David says onions bother him he even enjoyed this seasoning. I was worried as it says it has chilies in it and they bother me. Only in this package of spice from Tricky Dix it did not bother me at all. I think my dad would even enjoy it and he is so picky.
Hott Dix, a spicy version of the Original Tricky Dix, not for the light hearted. Dix with a Kick! Features Hatch Green Chilis. This is one I did not try as I can not have items that are spicy. So I let David try it out and he says the flavor is good and he would like to use it again but he would have to be careful as he is also not supposed to have spicy foods. So I knew it would be perfect for my brother n law Greg as he loves anything spicy. The hotter the better he says. I would not mind getting this one for him for his stocking.
Porky Dix, Dix and Ribs, need we say more. A Finger Licking Good Time. Features Lavender and Vanilla Sugar. This is the one I wanted to also try as I thought it would go good on a Prok Raost and man on man it did. Everyone who tried it out asked for seconds. The also wanted to know where I had gotten the spice from. I loved being able to show them the canisters and to show them Tricky Dix website as they have said they would like to order some. My brother n law is a cook and he is even wanting to have his boss try it out.
Chix Dix, a special blend of Dix and spices great for any poultry dish. Don’t Chicken out! Features Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley and Butter. Since the only way I like Chicken is Fried I knew I would like to try this out. As I wanted to use it on some Baked Chicken when I was having guests over. I was so surprised as I even enjoyed it. I am thinking the next time I fry me some chicken to use it on it as well. I would like to purchase this for my mom as she is just like me with the chicken. I could even see my dad using this and liking it. I may purchase some of it for Stocking Stuffers for them.
Free shaker with purchase of a Tub of Dix! Flavor 16 oz. You asked for it, here it is More, More, More Dix. Too much of a good thing…..AWESOME! 4x the Dix, less than 4x the cost
I love this shaker that they have as it makes it so much easier to use the spices and it is also less messy. Plus when Charlie is in the kitchen asking to help I can hand it to him and let him do the meat. He loves this as it makes him think he is cooking. So all in all Tricky Dix is a huge hit in my home and I think it would be in yours as well. Check them out at http://www.TrickyDix.com Glenda
