It has gotten so bad in Texas with David and no job.

That yesterday his boss that he is working for temporarily is taking a piece of equipment to Florida. He thought of going with them as it was paying well. It would have taken him a day and a half to get there and the same to get back but it paid really good. The only reason he did not take it is it is Charlies birthday on Friday and his part is on Sunday and he would miss it so he turned it down. If they go again though he will go.
He is even thinking of moving out of State to work and letting Charlie and I stay here since he goes to school. He would visit once or twice a month until we could get back on our feet. I know this would be hard on Charlie but to be able to live we may have to do this.
One of the places he is thinking of going to work is in Canada as they have a job over there likes. I I hate this as I am not sure how much it would cost for him to come back home. Plus if we ended up moving there I am sure the expenses would be horrible. So this week I need to start to look into not only moving companies but how do I find international movers?  With this  we both have to sit down and talk to our families and let them know we may be doing this as with David being  unemployed and not being able to find a job we are in jeopardy of losing everything we have.
One of the things I am scared of is all the ice and snow and storms I hear happens over there. Plus how different is it from her? I see other bloggers from Canada try to find companies to work with and it seems hard to find. So this also scares me as I have worked really hard to get where I am.
So once again I am turning to God and asking him to let us know what is right for our family. If it is moving to another State then I want it to be one he wishes for us to go too. I also do not want to be here when David is in another State as we are a family and I want us to remain one.
Now for those of you who live in Canada is Toronto the best place to live or where should I check into and what movers should I check with?  Would  Toronto movers be able to help us move there?

I think every case is different, but I will tell you a bit about my friend who moved here from Ohio. I'm in Manitoba, Canada.

My friend's husband is a highly specialized worker that couldn't find work in the USA. My friend was a teacher just before they moved here.

They came here and were shocked by the higher rents, mortgages, food costs, taxes, etc. They were lucky his new company paid their moving costs up here or they would have been out of pocket at least 5000 dollars. I guess they had a bit of stuff to move. Apparently, their stuff had to sit at the border for over a week too while someone from customs went through the moving truck. My friend was super ticked off about it. I don't know if that's 100% accurate but that's what the moving company told my friend was happening.

They really are pleased with our health care being so accessible though...and there is a ton of work here for now. They like the schools here too.

Don't get me wrong, Canada is a great place to live, but it's a bit different than the USA.

My friend's husband has a great job here(work visa), but since she is not a specialized worker she can only do secretarial work. With the higher costs here, they both have to work. My friend told me that it would have been better for her family if she had stayed back home with the kids, and her husband worked here and commuted back and forth.

The snow and ice sound scary, but people get used to it. It's much worse out in the Maritimes than the rest of Canada. We get blizzards and the occasional ice storm, but most people just stay home until the roads are cleared. Sometimes, you have to drive in it, but 'most' of us just drive slow and get home or to work late.

A lot of us hear about the bad tornadoes and hurricanes in the USA, and are just as scared of those as you must feel about our snow and ice.

I'm visiting Texas for the first time in February so I can't say how different it is.

Honestly, I will say that I wouldn't go to Toronto if possible. I know some people may chew my head off for saying that though.

I read in the paper that Toronto and Vancouver have the highest rents, and both places are just crazy busy. I never found most people in Toronto particularly friendly either. I have heard that from many other people as well.

You might like it better in Alberta (Calgary). The climate and landscape would likely be closer to what you are used to. Although, they still get cold in the winter. I really liked living in Alberta and regret moving away. B.C is nice too.

I'm not trying to scare you off, but I just wanted to let you know my friend's experience. However, she did say they are so lucky to be here just because they can at least make an income for now. She is terrified at the thought of going back home right now....and believe me, their whole family wants to go back home. They really miss their friends and family.

In the meantime, they have to tolerate me! LOL. They tell me that I'm not so bad for a Canadian. ;)

I really hope something comes through for you and your family. I read about the unemployment there and it is shocking. I used to date someone in the USA, and I heard recently that he hasn't had a job in 3 years. I don't even know what to say. It just breaks my heart knowing so many people are in such a bad place.

Praying for you.

Christine
