It seems over the past month that I have been on a Roller Coaster with mine.
I am so confused and upset that I do not know what to do or why it is happening.
First lets talk about Alexa I have the tool bar downloaded and I have lots of giveaways going on. I post new content almost everyday. I also visit other blogs and leave comments. I have even had some new Alexa reviews but it seems so matter what I am doing it is rising and it will not come back down. It is higher now than it has been in 6 months.
Can someone help me here and give me some advice. I know we should blog for fun and I do. Only that is not what the clients want to see. When the rank is going up when we go to ask them to work with us on reviews and giveaways they want a low Alexa ranking and it just is not happening her. So can you help me out and give me some suggestions? Then on Google up until this month I had a PR rank of 3 and in the last two weeks it has gone back done to a 2 and I am not sure why on this either. Since Goggle Page rank is not something I understand I thought I would ask all of you if you can help me with it as well. So does anyone have any magical secrets they can share? I visit a lot of blogs and I do leave meaningful comments but when people visit my blog they do not leave comments and I am not even sure they stay that long so I know I need to change this but this is where I need some suggestions on what I should and should not be doing. Alexa is based only on how many people visit your site who have the alexa toolbar installed. Basically, alexa takes the population of people who have the toolbar, and use that as their basis for the entire internet. It's their way of getting a sample of the internet. If your alexa rank goes up, thats because less people who have the alexa toolbar installed are visiting your site.
The pagerank part is much more complex but make sure you're correctly using nofollow links vs dofollow links as you can get striped of your rank based on that, which happens a lot.
