Review & Giveaway: Unlikely Friends Books

Charlie and I Love any type of book. But our favorites are about animals. So when I was given the chance to review the new series called Unlikely Friendships I knew he would Love them.

Plus I knew it would help prepare him for school. As you never know what you will encounter when you leave home.

So he and I climbed onto his daddy's recliner and snuggled up for a evening of reading. Before I was able to start to read though both his puppy and mine came and sat beside us to listen as well. It was so fun to be able to snuggle with them all.

I let Charlie chose the first book he wanted to read and he chose The Dog and The Piglet. Before I got to far into the book even his dad came in to sit down and listen. This made reading the books even more fun as David is not one to listen to me read or to even read to Charlie.

The Dog and The Piglet is the 2nd book of the series. They are written by Jennifer S Holland.
I like that the book starts off telling how it came about. I also like that it has 5 different stories in it and each of them are not to long. So if Charlie gets tired or restless I can just read one of them but if he is good I can read the whole book. Plus if there is one certain story he wants I can go right to it, We can start anywhere in the book and it still makes since. Mine and Charlies favorite is about the Dog and The Piglet. Since reading it Charlie and I would like to have each of them.

Book three of the Unlikely Friendships series is The Leopard and The Cow. Anyone who knows Charlie knows cows are his favorite animal and so we have read this one over and over. He Loves the pictures in it. He has even asked his dad for a cow. I wish I could find a poster of the books as I would like to put them up in his room. I like the Dog and The Dolphin.

Book one is called The Monkey and The Dove. Anyone who knows me knows I Love elephants and monkeys and so this is my favorite one in the series. The Dove is so pretty it reminds me of my grandmother and he favorite song which gave me a chance to talk to Charlie about her as he never got to know her. So not only was I able to read a wonderful book to my son I was able to share my grandmother with him.

In each book the pictures are so clear and so pretty it makes me feel like I am right there with the animals. I hope that there will be more books in there series.

I Love that each book has a word list for the words Charlie may not know. Plus that it shows the animals. Plus they also have a word and phrase list.

If you have not seen or heard of the Unlikely Friendship books by Jennifer S. Holland please take the time to look for them and share them with someone you Love. They would make a wonderful gift.
