I found a fun site called I See Me and you can check it out at http://www.ISeeMe.com This is a children's book site. Only it is different than most sites as the books are personalized with your children's name in them. I spent some time on the site checking out all the books as I knew they would make nice and unusual items to give to my grand kids for Christmas. When I was on the site I even found some book for Charlie which I am so glad I did. You see I love to give items that teach children. I also like giving them things they can keep forever. With these books they can do both. Once Charlie has his own children he can even share the books with them.
I was sent 2 different books for Charlie and the first one I was sent is called ABC What Can Charlie Be! With me working on Charlie leaning to spell his name this has helped as he know recognizes his name and he can tell us the letters in his name. Plus he can tell us all the colors in the book. When I got it out to read to Charlie I had him tell me what each picture was and then I showed him the letter. Then I would have him make the letter so this has helped us with his writing and also made home school so much more fun.
Charlie has even told me a couple of his friends he would like to get the books for. This is nice to see that he enjoys them enough to purchase them for his friends. As he used to always want to buy toys and most of his friends have to many toys. Just like him.
With this book I was able to give them his name and they used it throughout the book. I was able to use his full name and nickname. I was even able to add hist Birthday and a personal message from me. So if I am not with him he still knows I love him as the book tells him so. This will also keep the book from walking off.
On almost every page is Charlies name and he has enjoyed seeing it used in so many ways that he has been telling everyone about his new book. He has even asked me to let him take the book over to his Grandmothers to show to his sister which we will do this week.
I can tell you when we take it over there that his grandmother will be asking me more about the books and where I was able to get it at as she will be wanting to purchase them for Christmas. So if you have not had the chance to check out I See Me Please do at http://www.ISeeMe.com and also on Facebook
