With Charlie starting school next year and him being so picky on what he will and will not eat. I knew I would be making his lunch a lot. I hated the thought that he would be filling the landfills with trash every single day so when I found the Lunchskins I knew these would be items I would order for him to take his lunch in. What I did not expect was that David would ask for some as well. So I am going to check out the site and let David and Charlie look around and see which other colors they would like to have. I think these would make nice gifts for my sister who works at the hospital and carries her lunch every day. Since she loves fruit and does not eat much at all the snack since would work really well for her.

- certified food-safe fabric
- hand sewn in the USA
- dishwasher-safe
- quick-drying, lightweight cotton fabric
- replaces hundreds of plastic baggies
- lead-free, bpa-free and phthalate-free
- 6.5 x 3.5 inches with fold over flap and snug hook & loop closure
I was also sent two of the sandwich bags. The first one I received was a white one with oranges on it. Charlie thins his Aunt Debbie would like it. He likes the blue one with the dogs on it and so do I and David. Although I saw a black one with a soccer ball I know Charlie would love to have if I showed it to him. Check it out at http://www.lunchskins.com/product-p/r-soccer-ls1-1202.htm or how about this pink one with flowers for me? http://www.lunchskins.com/product-p/r-flwr-sandw-ls1-0918.htm
I wanted to let you know these are dishwasher safe which means I can teach Charlie to come home from school and to put them in the dishwasher and to help me pack his lunch at night before we go to bed. I could even get David into the kitchen to help me pack lunches it would be a new way to spend time together as a family which we need.
There is another size bag I like as well and they are called sub-sized and I would like to try them out to see if they would hold 2 sandwiches as this is what David takes for his lunch. Here is what they say about the sub-size bags.
What to put in a 'sub-sized' lunchskin besides a large sandwich? Moms say these larger lunchskins are "perfect as a small lunch tote for traveling athletes", "perfect size for packing snacks for a road trip" and of course, the "perfect size for a slice of left over pizza.
If they would hold a piece of Pizza I think it would hold 2 sandwiches what do you think?

Moms really do know best. Not only when it comes to caring for our children, but the environment too. That's why 3 moms got together one day around a kitchen table and teamed up to create LunchSkins - the reusable eco-friendly sandwich bag that answers every mom's plastic baggie blues. These fun, fresh and washable fabric sandwich bags not only reduce daily waste across our planet, but with their thousands of uses for every reusable bag, they save you money, too. Go green, save green, because supermoms do both at the same time.

I think it would be fun once Charlie starts to school and they start to set up Fundraisers to see if they would allow us to use Lunchskins for one as it is so much better for the environment and it would be different than the usual fundraisers schools conduct. So I included the information on them just encase you ever need to raise funds for a organization.
