Aren't you Jealous because I get to attend?? (Evil Laugh!!) LOL
Friday night David was off for the 4th of July and since his Birthday is the 26th of July I wanted to do something fun and unique for him. So I applied to visit Fat Daddy's "Get Star Spangled Hammered With Back In Black. As I knew David liked this type of music and the band. So once I was approved I printed out the tickets and picked up a Birthday Card for David. Once he opened it he was speechless.
So I made aggrangements for my mother n law to watch Charlie and David asked for the night off. Which turned out his work ended up closing for the 4th so they did not need him. Which was great.
The only downfall was not being able to take Charlie as he loves this type of music and would have loved being there. But the Concert started between 9:30 and 10 pm and children can not get in past 9:30. Which is sad as Charlie will not be able to attend any of the concerts but it gives David and I a outing which we need.
Once we walked in everyone was so nice and took us right to our table. As soon as we sat down the waitress arrived to see if we would like a drink. Which we didn't as we was excited to walk around and see what all they had inside. But I can tell you our waitress was beyond awesome. We did not have to want anything as she was there before we could even look for her. Which I love.
Once David was ready we walked back up to look at the Car that is right inside the door as I knew I would need a picture of it for Charlie. Once I was able to get the picture. David and I started to walk around and we saw a Dance floor which was nice. Not that we dance but it made me want to try. If Charlie had been there I might have actually gotten out on the floor as he would have dragged me.
Then David and I walked outside to the Patio which is covered and the doors are garage doors. Which is totally cool. We found a Bar out there. But I loved the Fireplace. As it would be nice to sit in front of on a cool night and listen to some music. We walked around and I found the most comfortable couch to sit on. If David had left me for long I might have taken a nap. I think this would make a perfect place to host a party. Or even just bring your family to hang out at.
Once we was finished walking around we went back to our table and ordered our drinks. David picked a Beer and I had to have Jack and Coke. But the hard part was there was so many choices I had trouble choosing what to order. So I left and went to the Restroom and let David chose for me.
Once I arrived back at the table the other Bloggers started to arrive which was nice as I was able to see some old friends and make some new friends as well. Plus David actually meet a "Dad Blogger" and since seeing him and hearing more about what he does it has motivated David to help me out more. Which is what I had been wanting. So thank you "fat Daddy's"!!
So as we all sat and chatted the Waitress came and announced the Appitizers was done and everyone was so excited as we was all "HUNGREY!!" They brought our Chips and Salsa and a awesome Salad. As well as some bread. But my favorite was the Bacon Wrapped Chicken and David liked the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. I wish I had some more of them right now.
If Charlie had been with us we would have ordered him a Pizza as watched some of them come out of the kitchen and they looked so good.
Once the appetizers was over we was able to visit some more which was nice. As I found some new Blogs to follow and also was able to follow now only Fat Daddy's but there other business which is "House of Hot Rods" which I hope I am able to visit one day. As well as bring Charlie and David as they would love it.
They host Car Shows done there and I love Car Shows so I can not wait until the next one. As the owner has quite a collection of cars we was told. That is why they had the car inside Fat Daddy's. The nice thing is it is on display for a month and then they switch it out. So if your a car lover like we are you will have to visit Fat Daddy's once a month to see what they have on display.
As for me I can not wait until December to take my sister as they have a Red Corvette then that has Santa and a Reindeer in it. This is the only car that remains the same year after year. Which makes a nice family tradition.
Once we was done talking they announce dinner was served. Let me tell you it was fabulous. We had Chichen Fried Steak and it had a Cajun Kettle Gravy which I was afraid would be hot but it wasn't. As well as some Grilled Chicken that had a great flavor. Green Beans with Onions that was yummy. Plus red Skin Potatoes which I loved loved loved. Plus the Roll was really good.
Now if none of this food appeals to you then you need to come to Fat Daddy's and check out there Menu as they have so many other items that even the pickiest eater would find something to try and want to come back.
We then went on a Tour and learned more about the Patio such as the TV's are 80 inches. How would you like to have that in your home? Plus they have 18 fans on the Patio so do not worry about getting too hot in this Texas Summer.
Then we went and checked out the Party Room and it classy. I love the Fireplace inside it. It is huge inside and you could hold one heck of a party in there. So if your looking to book a event make sure you contact Fat Daddy's as you can use this room or the Patio. As for me I would prefer the Patio as you can see everything that is happening. Plus you would have the Music playing in the background.
All in all David and I feel in love with Fat Daddy's and we can not wait to take some of our friends there for a night out on the town. Being in Mansfield is not to far for anyone in Dallas or Fort Worth to travel to. So if your going out on a First Date or celebrating a event or just want to get away for the evening "Fat Daddy's" is where you should heard to.
As they have Poker Nights and also they just started Harley Davidson night. Plus they do a Karaoke night which is different from any other place that host Karaoke as they use a Live Band on that night. That you get to sing with. So if you have ever wanted to be on Stage this is the perfect opportunity for you!!!
Once Back in Black hit the Stage "Fat Daddy's" filled up nicely and the Crowd was so much fun. It didn't turn rowdy like at a lot of places. Plus we could still order food up until 11 if we was rehung. If there is a concert you want to attend and your afraid they will run out of tickets you can make a reservation which I liked knowing about.

Thank you "Fat Daddy's" for allowing us to come out and check out that fantastic patio you have. I can not wait to bring all of my friends out to check it out. As I am thinking with David turning 50 in a couple weeks we should host his Birthday Party here on the Patio.
