We’re partnering with more independent designers and vendors because we love their unusual designs and accessible products. So much so that we’re featuring profiles and designer Q&As on our site.
We’re also changing the way people shop online for furniture. Our entire site is organized around the “look,” and not the individual item. Let’s face it – who walks into a furniture store and buys a single piece? You go to a store to see how things fit together, and Lookboard provides the visual, curated experience of walking into a design-savvy home décor shop. Eventually, users will be able to create their own looks and share them with the rest of the Lookboard community, hence the Pinterest/Polyvore comparison I made earlier.
