OK I am still looking for more gifts for my family

If you new someone was needing to do work inside there house would you buy them gift cards to stores you know they need items from? Or would you buy them those items? I am asking as a friend is needing to redo her house and she is in need of carpet or tile and I was thinking of purchasing her some for Christmas and seeing if our other friends would as well.

I know she is looking at glass tiles but has anyone used these? Is glass tile safe around a child? I ask as she has 3 kids and I would hate to see them get hurt. Plus I have my son and she watches him sometimes and I am kinda afraid to leave her with him if she gets glass tile.

Although if I had a house I would like to have Ceramic Tiles and I am sure it is not any safer than glass tiles would be. But I think it is so classy looking that I would Love to have it. I just am not sure it would match my house as I would like a western or south west home when I get one if I am ever luck enough to.

How about mosaic tiles? Has anyone used them? Are they safe around children? Where would I look for them at? What would I need to know if I decided to purchase Mosaic tiles instead of glass tiles? Which are safer? How cold are they in the winter? Would I also need to purchase a rug to keep the kids from catching a cold?

I do know I like the back splashes that are being put into the kitchens and I think these are glass mosaic tiles or Mosaic tiles and so I might get her this instead of the tile as it might be a little cheaper. If this was you which would you prefer someone help you with? Why do you feel this way?
