Can you tell us how you are and why this makes you you
I am a Wife, Mom, and Blogger
How long have you been blogging and how did you come up with the name of your blog?
I have been blogging for just over one year. I decided on my blog name - because we are such a unique multi-generational family of 8 and I wanted something unique to us - I didn't want something just about coupons or deals - I wanted this about US and the coupons and deals we find.
What is your favorite way to save money for your family? Daily Deals - we are a busy family and hate sitting around, so I am always on the lookout for Daily Deals of things to do around San Antonio
What has been your favorite item to review and what is your dream item to review and why? My favorite item... hmmm... that is a hard one, I have so many - I would have to say I loved the diamond bracelet from Town Square Jewelry and the Camera from Howard Computers. My dream item is, of course, a car, lol... I know of a couple Bloggers who have been able to review a vehicle for a month or two... that would be cool.
Do you have only 1 blog? Yes, I only have one blog.
Do you have a business if so what is it and why do you do it? We have a Family Home Improvement Company that I run, here in San Antonio
How do you promote it and do you use your blog to promote it on? We have run a deal on Living Social and I helped promote the deal when it ran, but that is about it - I kind of keep the business separate from Adventures of 8.
Do you use other bloggers to help you promote it? No.
How much time do you spend on blogging in a day and do you have a schedule you go by? OM, I spend TOO much time Blogging. My computer is turned on as soon as I wake up, while Hubby helps the kids get ready for the day. I check all my emails, then go feed the kids. After breakfast we do a family activity, then I am back on the computer - posting deals or answering emails. At nap time, I work on reviews and such, then after naps, it is time for me to make dinner for the WHOLE family. After dinner, Hubby does baths and bed, while I go back to work sometimes until midnight or so.
What is your favorite social site and why? I love FB because it is so easy, but with all the changes lately, I feel like my reach isn't as great as it could be.
What one thing would you like to share with the readers that we do not know about you? Shoot, I don't know of anything I haven't already shared... sorry...
Can you tell us one piece of advice you would offer for someone wanting to blog? Talk to other Bloggers first for advice. Read up on how to Blog and BUY your domain -it is only a few dollars but so worth it... when I switched from Blogger to my own domain I lost most of my stats, which hurt quite a bit!
