It seems as we get older the care of our parents falls on us.

A lot of the things I know my mom and dad should be able to handle but not they do not seem to remember what they need to do. Such as when they go to the doctor I ask them what he says and they never seem to know. This is scary for me as I am in Texas and they are in Oklahoma. So I am not sure how much help I can actually be.

The things that I worry the most about is when they call and need help with paperwork they do not understand such as Food Stamps or Medi Care and with me here and not being able to see the paperwork makes it even harder.

So the other day I needed to help a elderly neighbor with her paperwork and I was able to see some of the things my parents have asked about which did make it easier for me. Plus their caseworker pointed out a site for me that offers a medicare plans and information about them. I will tell you it is a great find as it explains so many things I did not understand.

So if you are dealing with a elderly person I would like to ask for you to check it out as well as it will help you out quite a bit. Plus if you know of a elderly person trying to take care of themselves Please show them the site so they can read up on it and it will make things so much easier for them.
