Christmas will be here and over before we know it.

I finished wrapping most of the gifts today and started to think about how soon it would be here and be gone.

Then I thought I should start to look for some Valentines items for the boys as it will be here before we blink.

So when I started to think about this I knew exactly where I would shop for Charlie as I wanted to get him a shirt with his name on it.

The site is Fun Kinder and you all know they where one of Mommies Point of Views Christmas Sponsors.

They are the makers of the reflective clothing.

Which they also make in name shirts and so I am going to be going and seeing if I can find one that I think Charlie would like as he is getting a scooter for Christmas and once income tax is in I am getting him a skateboard.

So to make sure he is safe when he is riding these I am going to go and pick him up a couple shirts.

If you would like to see what they carry you can visit them at:

Today I would like to talk to you about a site that is fun and can save lives.

This wonderful new site I found is called Fun Kinder and you can find it at http://www.funkinder.com

First of all I must tell you that I was so excited to stumble upon this site as Charlie is always wanting to ride his bike and he does not watch out as much as he should.  Leaving in a apartment this scares me as you can not always see around the cars to know who is coming in. Plus the ones who do do not always follow the speed limit.  Plus  we do go out at night I was always worried in the reflectors on his bike would be enough. As I lost Suzzane due to a freak accident and it was not even dark when she was crossing the street. Suzzane was even in the crossing lane when she was hit. The guy says he did not see her. So if it was still light and he threw her 47 feet. This what would happen to Charlie if he where hit by a car.  So to know that Charlie rides his bike in the parking lot I cringe. So I decided I would contact Fun Kinder and see if they would allow me to conduct a review on some of there reflective clothing. The reason I did this is David uses this type of clothes at work and it is supposed to keep him safe and I thought it would keep Charlie safe as well.

So I wanted to share part of the email I got from him on why he started this company and why he and I connected so much. This kind of tragedy is one reason we came up with our idea. We felt that our son needed more safety when he started riding his bike on the streets with us and we couldn't find anything for kids except on rain gear. My kids wear our clothes 24/7 and even I wear it myself because it makes me feel safer. People do NOT drive well here in the States (sorry, I am from Germany and driving school is around 40-50 hours with an instructor) and do not pay attention. Driving has become secondary to texting and drinking coffee. Well I guess I am preaching to the choir.

You see he took the time to check out my blog and he came across my daughters story and I could see he cared. Knowing this was so nice. It  meant even more to me as it was also the day my son was in the ER and he took the time to ask me about it. I even found out he is from Germany and so is David. We discussed home schooling as we both do this. Then we got onto the subject of Soccer and he gave me some ideals for Charlie.

I liked knowing he is a dad who stays at home with his children. I wish David could do this but at this time it is out of the question. Someday though I hope it will change and he can stay home.

In the meantime I would like to tell you about how kind he was to me when I asked to review some of his items as he let me to chose what I would like to review. I told him I would like a jacket for Charlie and so he gave us the best reflective jacket that they carry.  If you would like to see it you can through this link http://www.funkinder.com/VisiFun/by-Garment/Toddler-Polar-Fleece-Jacket.html The jacket I was sent is red and grey. These are Charlie's favorite colors and they have a Iguana on them. I tried to put it up for Charlies Birthday as it is right around the corner only Charlie  saw it and since it was chilly yesterday and we where going out at night I let him have it. It fit him like a Glove. I could not even get him to put a shirt on under it as he decided it would be his shirt. Charlie  loved that it had the Iguana on it. Charlie also liked knowing that it had the reflectors on it like the vest David  wears to work. Charlie  went around the complex and showed it to everyone and everyone wanted to know where we got it. I loved being able to tell them to check out Fun Kinder  at http://www.funkinder.com/VisiFun/by-Garment/Toddler-Polar-Fleece-Jacket.html
for there children as they also ride bikes at night  and I think every child as well as adult should have some type of reflective clothing. For my family we all have caps and Charlies jacket.

Charlie is blessed as he has a hat as well. Only he does not know about it yet. But once he sees it he is going to flip. I know he will like it as it is black and has the Iguana on it to match his jacket. It is so nice that no matter where we go he will be able to wear if. I like that I can make it bigger or smaller. I will be buying some of these as gifts as I know so many children who can use them. I think they should be sold where ever bicycles are sold. If you would like to check out the hats you can through this link: http://www.funkinder.com/VisiFun/by-Garment/Baseball-Cap.html
Then he fixed a hat for David as well and it was special made as he said I could pick out a Sports team to go on it. So I asked for soccer and he did it. I love the design he chose for it. I also love that it  is black as it makes it look classy. The only qualm I have is if David will be able to keep it or will Charlie take it away from him.

Then he offered to make a hat for me so we would all be safe. He even asked me if I would prefer a Butterfly or some flowers and since both of them represented Suzzane to a tee I had a hard time choosing. Only I knew it would have to be a butterfly.   He did not even know that pink was her favorite color and it is the color he said he would make my hat. I chose the Butterfly design as this is how we refer to Suzzane as a butterfly flying free. I must tell you if Suzzane where here she would want to shop at Fun Kinder as well as she would love the reflective clothing and the  hat he made for me. I know I am going to love wearing it which I have not done as I have them all put up to wrap for Christmas as I think they will make wonderful gifts as I was not able to shop for David or Charlie this year. So thanks to Fun Kinder I have some gifts for my family.

FunKinderTM is a traditional family business. Our inspiration came with our first son, Janne. As most little children, he always has been incredibly active and we all love the outdoors. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest, the grey weather did not bother us. Every minute possible we spent outside either hiking or on a bicycle. When Janne learned to ride his balance-bike around the block, he was only 1½ years old. Our neighbourhood lacked sidewalks so we were seriously concerned about safety. As parents we wore reflective safety vests on grey and dark days, but Janne simply refused to wear the once we got for him. When we could not get vests in toddler sizes we were desperately trying to find reflective wear for children. The only available items were rain jackets, but even in Seattle, it doesn't rain every day and evenings can be nice and warm. So we were in need of clothing, which had reflectivity for safety and were comfortable to wear. That's when we decided to create a new line of children's reflective clothing . Janne, his little brother Jelte and all their friends love our FunKinderTM clothes, not to mention the parents. All kids that are out at dusk, night or dawn could benefit from the extra safety with attractive designs of our reflective VisiKidTM and VisiFunTM clothing lines. May it be on their bikes or skateboards, waiting for the school bus at the curb or simply walking across a parking lot. A foggy summer day in San Francisco? With our high visibility clothing lines VisiKidTM and VisiFunTM you'll be noticed. Later additional ideas evolved and our line, NameTeez, was born to provide attractive personalized wear. How did we come up with the name FunKinderTM? In Germany, where we came from, "Kinder" means kids, so FunKinderTM was a natural choice. Thank you
